Lo street food è il mio punto debole e questo si sa. In Liguria poi la mia passione trova terreno fertile, anzi fertilissimo!Santa Margherita Ligure è un piccolo borgo tra Camogli e Portofino ricco di vita e mondanità! Panetterie e spuntinerie, piccole osterie, gelaterie e bar: la scelta è davvero ampia!
Io, notoriamente carboidrato-addicted non ho resistito al richiamo della focaccia (in questo caso nella versione a base di patate) e a una buona, saporita e tremendamente deliziosa fetta di farinata, una delle specialità liguri che preferisco in assoluto! Sottile, morbida e piena di gusto: mangiata tiepida, appena sfornata, diventa davvero irresistibile!E quando si gravita a Santa Marghetita perché non prendere il bus e spingersi fino a Portofino, il paese più rinomato e più ambito dai vips d'oltreoceano? Ci vogliono 15 minuti di bus, traffico permettendo, per abbarbicarsi sopra il Promontorio ma l'attesa viene del tutto ripagata. La piazzetta e il porticciolo di Portofino sono davvero unici, da vedere almeno una volta nella vita!
Arrivando dal mare la vista viene catturata dalla bellezza delle case, nei tipici colori pastello della Liguria di Levante, disposte a scala, una vicina all'altra, quasi a spingersi per avere più spazio. Si scorge la chiesa, perfetta con la sua facciata a strisce e il rosone, e il minuscolo lungo mare: un susseguirsi di piccole botteghe, bar e ristorantini uno attaccato all'altro in perfetta sintonia tra loro. La piazza quadrata è delimitata su tre lati dai negozi extra lusso alternati a rivenditori di souvenir e ristoranti romantici per poi buttarsi letteralmente in mare. Questa è forse la principale attrazione del paese ma basta spostarsi un pochino, oltre il porto, per scoprire sentieri nascosti che ti regalano panorami mozzafiato sul golfo Paradiso. E chi lo sa, che magari, tra una scarpinata e l'altra non si arrivi a una caletta semi nascosta, fuori dai comuni itinerari turistici, dove fare il pieno di energia godendosi lo splendido paesaggio??

I'm notoriously carbohydrate-addicted and I could not resist the lure of focaccia (in this case, the version made with potatoes) and a good, tasty and extremely delicious slice of farinata, one of my favorite Ligurian specialties! Thin, soft and full of flavor: eaten warm, freshly baked, it becomes truly irresistible! And when you gravitate to Santa Marghetita why not take the bus and go to Portofino, the country's most renowned and most sought-after by VIPs from overseas? It takes 15 minutes by bus, traffic permitting, to cling on the Cape but the wait is completely repaid. The square and the harbor of Portofino are really unique, must see at least once in your life! Arriving by sea the view is captured by the beauty of the houses, in the typical pastel colors of the Italian Riviera Levante, arranged in a scale close to each other, as if to push for more space. You can see the church, with its perfect facade of white marble and black striped, and the tiny waterfront: a succession of small shops, bars and restaurants attacked one another in perfect harmony with each other.
The plaza is square and bounded on three sides by luxury shops interspersed with romantic restaurants and souvenir retailers and then literally throw himself into the sea. This is perhaps the main attraction of the country but just move a little bit, past the harbor, to discover hidden paths that will offer breathtaking views of the Gulf Paradise. And who knows, maybe, between a hike and the other does not come to a semi hidden cove, away from the common tourist routes, where to fill up on energy while enjoying the beautiful scenery ??
