Il 30 ottobre 2012 l’editore americano di Tolkien, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, pubblico una bellissima edizione in similpelle di The Hobbit. All’epoca pensai che sarebbe stato bello vedere anche pubblicato nello stesso formato The Lord of the Rings. Oggi ho il piacere di presentarvi questo set Deluxe Pocket Boxed Set, con The Hobbite The Lord of the Rings, che ha superato ogni mia aspettativa.
Il set è stato pubblicato il 21 ottobre di quest’anno, anche se l’editore americano ne aveva fatto omaggio ad alcuni speciali ospiti del New York Comic Con che si è tenuto tra il 9 e 12 ottobre 2014. Tra questi gli amici di TheOneRing.net che lo avevano presentato sul loro sito in anteprima.
I volumi misurano 7 centimetri e sono rilegati in similpelle con impresso il titolo, il monogramma di Tolkien e il suo nome. Tutti quattro i volumi sono conservati in un elegante cofanetto anch’esso timbrato con il monogramma di Tolkien su entrambi i lati e il fronte e sul retro, sempre impresso ma con color oro, i titoli dei volumi.
