Berretto sulle ventitre, una copia di Playboy nel taschino, perenne mezza sigaretta pendente; un fondo di bourbon nascosto da qualche parte. Un caldo show del primo Tom Waits, periodo The Heart Of Saturday Night, quello di una certa San Diego Serenade, mai sentita…? Assai fuori contesto con quei sottotoli in danese, che a volte sono più comprensibili della sua voce già roca, ma attorniato da un ensemble ristretto (sax, contrabbasso, batteria) e ben affiatato che scende con leggerezza e senza mai forzare nei meandri del Cuore del Sabato Notte. Da vedere e ascoltare. Poi, se non la conoscete, buttatevi al buio su San Diego Serenade e riascoltatela tutta la notte. Non vi deluderà… Buona Visione!
