ring or padlock..that's the question....
Valentine's Day is approaching. There is a new trend among the teen agers ( and not only them) . You love each other deeply and you are sure that your love will be eternal . Say it with a padlock. Yes I have told “ with a padlock” . Don’t be surprised, I have not become crazy. Love today is sealed with a padlock. So what you have to do? Instead of an expensive diamond ring ( the gentlemen will be happy of it), buy a padlock. Maybe you can buy one big padlock if you wanna put your foot forward. Obviously you cannot hang your padlock everywhere, but in very specific places . The ancient bridges have become the most popular. Maybe because the old bridges are romantic locations , or maybe because declaring love over a river is like to be in a movie. Anyway this is the new trend.the bridge and the padlocks
The place par excellence is the Milvo Bridge in Rome. Where come from this new trend? It comes from an Italian book titled "Ho voglia di te" by Federico Moccia where the protagonists declared their eternal love on this bridge . If the bridge Milvo is definitely the first place of this trend, today the padlocks can be hung in many places. Some examples ? Parco Sempione in Milan , on the grates of the mermaids. On the Muretto of Alassio . On the Ponte Vecchio in Florence . On the Rialto Bridge in Venice. Castel dell’ovo , Naples.These are just to mention the most famous places. Some say the custom is more ancient and the Florentines already knew it , others say it is not Italian . We do not care about it, we just have to decide if we wanna follow the new trend and buy the padlock or if we prefer to opt for the classic ring. What do you choose ?Anche quest’anno la festa di San Valentino si avvicina. Fra i giovanissimi ( e non solo) impazza una nuova moda da un po’ di anni che è diventata una tendenza. Quindi come fare? Invece di un costoso anello con diamante ( saranno felici i signori uomini), acquistate un lucchetto. Magari prendetelo grande se volete fare bella figura. Ovviamente non potete pensare di attaccare il vostro lucchetto ovunque, ma in luoghi ben specifici. I ponti antichi sono diventati i luoghi più gettonati. Sarà che sono romantici, sarà che promettersi eterno amore con un fiume che scorre sotto è molto da film, sta di fatto che l’usanza è questa. Il luogo per eccellenza è il Ponte Milvo a Roma. Da dove nasce questa idea? Nasce da un libro tutto italiano “ Ho voglia di te” di Federico Moccia dove i protagonisti si promettono eterno amore così. Se il Ponte Milvo è sicuramente il posto di origine, oggi i lucchetti si possono appendere in varie parti d’Italia Alcuni luoghi? Parco Sempione a Milano, alle inferiate delle Sirene. Al muretto di Alassio. Sul Ponte Vecchio a Firenze. Sul ponte di Rialto a Venezia. Castel dell’ovo a Napoli.Questi solo per citare alcuni celeberrimi posti. Alcuni dicono che l’usanza è più antica e i fiorentini già la conoscevano, altri dicono che non sia italiana. Noi non ci preoccupiamo molto , dobbiamo solo decidere se essere trend e scegliere il lucchetto oppure optare per il classico anello quando ci dichiareremo. Voi cosa scegliete?
