You Die, they Rape you, and then You become a Hipster Hero.

I wonder what Mark Twain would have done after descovering that his Huckleberry Finn was brutaly raped by some decent and politically correct Southern teacher who had the brilliant idea of replacing the word “niger” with “slave”. I guess he would have done something like publishing a new edition of his opera omnia with the word “cat” replaced by “domestic mammal belonging to feline species”.

Yes, this Alan Gribber managed to publish, together with this NewSouth, a new and censored edition of Twain’s book. Because there’s nothing worse than descent and politically correct people.

However, there were consequences. Someguy [an American artist] picked the book and blacked out everything apart from the word “niger”, and even better, Richard Grayson – my Thursday 19 May hero – self-published a new edition with the word “niger” replaced by “hipster”. Mi domando cosa avrebbe fatto Mark Twain dopo la scoperta che il suo Huckleberry Finn è stato brutalmente stuprato da un onesto e politicamente corretto insegnate del Sud, che ha avuto la brillante idea di sostituire la parola “negro” con “schiavo”. Penso che avrebbe fatto una cosa tipo pubblicare una nuova edizione della sua opera omnia con la parola “gatto” sostituita da “mammifero domestico appartenente alla specie dei felini”.

Comunque ci sono state conseguenze. Someguy ha preso il libro e ha cancellatto tutto fuori che la parola “negro”, e ancora meglio, Richard Grayson – il mio eroe di giovedì 19 maggio – ne ha autoprodotto una nuova edizione con la parola “negro” sostituita da “hipster”.
