L'11 settembre ci ha cambiato tutti quanti.Lo dimostra il fatto che, alla domanda, "dove eri quel giorno?", ognuno di noi sa rispondere con precisione, ancora dopo 10 anni.Ricordo che quando vidi quelle immagini la prima cosa che ho pensato è stata "e adesso?".L'anno dopo ero là, ho visto la mia città -mito ferita ma indomita, ho visto monumenti improvvisati, le foto nelle chiese, il ricordo dei vigili del fuoco nelle caserme ed ho visto lo skyline che tanto avevo ammirato nei film, irrimediabilmente vuoto, è stata una emozione grandissima. E' stato il giorno che ha cambiato la storia del mondo, ma è stato soprattutto il giorno in cui molte vite sono andate perdute. Il mio pensiero va alle loro famiglie, al loro dolore che non smetterà mai e che merita il nostro ricordo, ma soprattutto il nostro rispetto.
