Chi sono David Michael e Nicola?

David e Nicola sono due ragazzi residenti a bari, città da sempre ritenuta crocevia di popoli, tradizioni e culture. La poliedricità della loro arte è dovuta anche al fatto che provengono da due realtà socioculturali differenti. Forse da molti questo può essere ritenuto come punto di debolezza, ma noi crediamo che questo sia il nostro punto di forza perché, unendo le nostre visioni; per certi versi simili per altri no; riusciamo perfettamente a far collimare le nostre passioni. Attingendo ai diversi background che fanno parte delle nostre persone e che si manifestano esplicitamente nelle nostre creazioni, ha preso vita due anni fa Belle de Luxe.

Il vostro percorso accademico?

Per quanto riguarda il nostro percorso accademico, possiamo certamente dire di aver avuto una formazione tutt'altro che artistica, non a caso David proviene da una forma mentis classica mentre Nicola proviene da studi tecnici/informatici. La passione per la moda, però, ha sempre accompagnato il percorso di entrambi, sin da piccoli la fiamma di questa passione ardeva dentro noi e sin da piccoli ci siamo cimentati in creazioni stilistiche e soprattutto in creazioni di accessori. Nel corso degli anni la passione è diventata una vera e propria dedizione al mondo degli accessori come elementi indispensabili per una donna che le permettono di esprimere la propria personalità. Da autodidatti abbiamo sempre cercato di prendere il massimo da tutti i creatori che si sono susseguiti nella nostra vita, e il risultato lo potete constatare con i vostri stessi occhi. Inizialmente, però, non è stato semplice, anche perché ci trovavamo in un campo molto competitivo in cui l’unico modo per fare la differenza era l’individuazione di ciò che volevamo trasmettere alle donne che avrebbero indossato la nostre creazioni, il tutto supportato dalla tecnica. Ci siamo dedicati, quindi, allo studio delle diverse tecniche su libri per bijoux come “ Gioielli fai da te” di Paolo romanelli e Creare Gioielli” di Madeline Coles.Inoltre, anche i video su youtube sono stati davvero utili, forse più dei libri, vorremmo azzardare ,perché sono una vera e propria guida interattiva che ti permettono di apprendere tutto in maniera semplice e diretta. Supportati da questa tecnica siamo riusciti ad elaborare il Concept dei nostri gioielli grazie al quale possiamo esprimere la nostra visione del mondo. Attenzione al susseguirsi delle mode e dei diversi stili, sono un’altra caratteristica che ci contraddistingue, ed è molto importante per noi perché attingendo alle diverse tendenze o a tendenze del passato cerchiamo sempre di uno stile che permetta ad ogni donna di differenziarsi calibrando sempre eleganza ed eccentricità senza scadere in un appariscente privo di gusto

Come possono due uomini creare bijoux così femminili, la vostra ispirazione maggiore?

Dal perfetto incastro dei nostri diversi vissuti nasce BELLE DE LUXE (BdL), un progetto in cui ogni donna è protagonista, essendo la donna stessa in tutte le sue sfaccettature; dalla seduzione passando per la raffinatezza per arrivare alla quotidiana espressione della femminilità; la nostra Musa ispiratrice. Credo che proprio questa sia la risposta alla tua domanda, Cara Ilaria, è la donna la risposta migliore, attraverso il nostro lavoro vorremmo darle maggior valore. Per rispondere al quesito su come possano due uomini creare bijoux così femminili mi chiedo: come ha potuto Yves Saint Laurent creare abiti così femminile e innovativi guidato dalla sua unica musa ispiratrice Catherine Deneuve; come ha potuto Valentino Garavani vestire le donne più belle e femminili del mondo rendendole di quella bellezza eterica che solo lui sa dare, e come può Gianbattista Valli conferire ad ogni donna che veste un carattere così forte senza far venire meno la dolcezza e la femminilità attraverso i suoi abiti ? È la donna che ispira Belle De Luxe e solo grazie a lei due uomini posso realizzare creazioni che permettano ad ogni donna di poter esprimere se stessa ed il proprio carattere. La nostra filosofia è proprio questa, riuscire ad esprimere attraverso un singolo oggetto una particolarità di sé..... quel dettagli che vi differenzia e vi rende uniche contro l'omologazione agli stili dark-skull-white and block che dilaga al giorno d'oggi. Siete voi che create il vostro stile… e noi cerchiamo solo di darvi il mezzo affinché ciò sia possibile.

Il successo che vi ha entusiasmato di più e quello che vorreste ottenere?

I successi che ci hanno entusiasmato di più sono sicuramente rappresentati dai sorrisi e dai complimenti ricevuti da tutte le clienti che hanno indossato i nostri gioielli e che ci danno la possibilità di essere conosciuti sempre più. Il successo che vorremmo ottenere è sicuramente quello di fare di questa passione un vero e proprio lavoro a tutti gli effetti, sarebbe un sogno realizzato vivere di quello che ci piace fare sin dall'infanzia e sarebbe forse, anzi sicuramente, ancora più bello vedere un giorno uno store con fuori l'insegna Belle De Luxe.

A chi volete dire grazie e perché?

Forse saremo un pochino troppo sicuri di noi, ma sicuramente le uniche persone cui dobbiamo dire grazie sono Nicola e David che sin da piccoli non hanno mai smesso di portare avanti la loro passione, dobbiamo ringraziare noi stessi per la grande forza dimostrata mentre le critiche scorrevano attorno a noi, dobbiamo ringraziarci perché con grande pazienza, maturità e costanza siamo andati avanti incassando i colpi e rispondendo solo con il successo delle nostre creazioni. Naturalmente senza coloro che oggi indossano le nostre creazioni tutto questo per noi non sarebbe possibile quindi grazie a loro per l'aiuto dato a quei due sognatori che ancora sperano e mai smetteranno di farlo.

Abbinate tre pietre a tre star e mi spieghi perché?

La prima delle pietre che mi viene in mente è l'Ambra, essa possiede la proprietà di elettrizzarsi per strofinio, mi vengono in mente due star una tutta italiana: La frizzantissima Simona Ventura alla quale basta un pubblico e un palco per elettrizzarsi davanti alla telecamera, e che; possa piacere o no; trasmette allegria ed energia allo stato puro. La seconda delle star a cui penso è sicuramente una delle donne più famose del pianeta; l'instancabile Madonna; sempre giovane, sempre sulla cresta dell'onda e sempre pronta a dare spettacolo elettrizzando il pubblico dei suoi concerti. La seconda pietra che mi sovviene è l'Agata che in passato veniva usata per allontanare l'invidia e la malignità, si dice che renda simpatici e aiuti nelle carriere, pensiamo alla splendida Kristen Stewart a cui la fortuna ha davvero dato una grande mano poiché ormai da qualche anno è una delle attrici più amate, richieste e invidiate di Hollywood ma, nonostante ciò la sua carriera e tutta in ascesa, oppure possiamo pensare ad una star tutta nostra: Cristiana Capotondi star della fiction italiana e sempre più amata e richiesta dal grande schermo. L'ultima delle pietre che mi viene in mente è sicuramente il cristallo, in tutte le sue forme, che infonde calma ed equilibrio interiore, si può pensare alla bellissima Julia Roberts che nonostante sia l'attrice più pagata e richiesta del mondo mantiene sempre una certo riservo, grande umiltà e una certa quiete interiore, palpabilissima attraverso il suo sorriso semplice e serafico, possiamo anche fare riferimento ad uno dei nuovi American Idols la giovanissima Olivia Palermo star del fashion reality "The city", sottoposta sempre a stress e malignità porta avanti la sua carriera ed il suo sogno con grande equilibrio senza mai cedere allo stress.

Who is David Michael and Nicola?



Nicola and David are two guys living in Bari, the city has always been considered a crossroads of peoples, traditions and cultures. The versatility of their art is due to the fact that they come from two different socio-cultural reality.
