[Haul + Swatches] & Other Stories bits and bobs.

 [IT]Se seguite regolarmente le varie blogger inglesi, probabilmente il brand & other stories vi è famigliare. Si è fatto strada sfruttando, come sempre più spesso capita, la blogosfera fino ad arrivare anche qui, con uno store a Milano in Corso Vittorio Emanuele 1, se avete voglia di farci un giro. Si tratta di una catena che offre sia abbigliamento che beauty, in uno stile e una fascia di prezzo medio-alti. Potete dare un'occhiata al sito (e e-store) www.stories.com per farvi un'idea.Il reparto abbigliamento non mi ha dato grandi soddisfazioni, soprattutto considerando i prezzi, ma non potevo uscire a mani vuote dal primo piano, tutto dedicato alla linea & other stories di makeup, oltre che alcuni brand esclusivi come This works, dr. bronner's e Eyeko.Morale della favola, il quad Sateen Aubergine, il mono Percaline Khaki e lo smalto Damask Rosé sono tornati a casa con la sottoscritta.

If you follow any avarage English blogger, you almost certainly know about the brand & other stories. It's became popular among the blogosphere and now it also has an opened store in Milan, if you happen to be in the surroundings. It's a very interesting brand, which sells fashion and beauty items, not only from its own brand but also from dr.bronner's, Eyeko, This works and so on. You can check the e-shop at www.stories.com.
I was not very impressed by their fashion department, especially for the crazy prices, but I had to get something from the beauty line: the single eyeshadow in Percaline Khaki, the quad Sateen Aubergine and the nail polish in Damask Rosé.

Percaline Khaki è un verdone dai riflessi dorati, molto morbido e sfumabile.Sateen Aubergine contiene tre colori sui toni del viola/malva (shimmer) e un rosa chiaro, anch'esso shimmer, perfetto come illuminante.

Percaline Khaki is obviously a khaki colour with golden shimmer through it.
Sateen Aubergine contains three mauve-purple shades and a very light pink, perfect to highlight, all shimmery.

Gli ombretti sono davvero ottimi, pigmentati, morbidi e con una gamma di colori varia - dai matte agli shimmer.Il prezzo è di €9 per i mono e €15 per i quad, con cialde da 2.8 g per i primi e 2g per i secondi.La qualità, come detto, è davvero buona, con colori intensi e polverosità minima, ma il packaging, visto il prezzo, non mi fa impazzire. L'ho trovato molto simile a quello degli ombretti di Catrice, che non superano i €2-5; mi piace la semplicità della scritta e del logo sulla parte frontale, ma trovo importante la mancanza di uno specchio interno, soprattutto per i 15 euro del quad.Detto questo, sono comunque soddisfatta dell'acquisto e vi consiglio di provare almeno uno dei colori disponibili. The quality of the eyeshadows is really impressive; they're all so pigmented and soft it's a pleasure to work with. They're not super powdery, which is good, although you might still get a little bit of fall-out. Single eyeshadows retail for €9 and you have 2.8g of product, while the quad is €15, with four 2g-pans.
The packaging is what I was really disappointed with, as it remainds me of Catrice, which is around the €2-5 mark. I like the logo on the external lid, I find the font to be very neat and elegant, but I would have preferred a non-transparent packaging with a mirror on the inside of the lid of the quad. At least for this price.
Nonetheless, I'm happy with this purchase and I recommend to try at least one colour from the range.
[IT]Damask Rosé è un bellissimo smalto rosato, dall'effetto shimmer metallizzato, opaco in due passate e facile da stendere.Il packaging, anche in questo caso, è molto essenziale. Il prezzo è di €7 per 9ml di prodotto.Non lo consiglierei necessariamente, se non per curiosità o per collezionare quei due o tre colori della gamma più particolari. Sono curiosa di provare anche alcuni prodotti viso di & other stories, come il correttore e la BB cream, dato che le tonalità più chiare sono, in effetti e soprendentemente, molto chiare e adatte per la mia carnagione. Ma per ora questo haul/review si ferma qui.

Fateci sapere nei commenti! [EN]Damask Rosé is a beautiful shimmery rose gold shade, very easy to apply and opaque in a couple of coats.The packaging is, again, very simple. It retails for €7 and you get 9ml of product.I wouldn't necessarily recommend their nailpolishes though, unless you're a nailpolish junkie like I am or you want to pick a couple of their most unique shades. That's all I got for now, but I'm really curious to try ther face products, as they jave some very light shades, perfect for my fair skintone. I'll let you know how I resist!
