Ieri vi ho anticipato qualcosa riguardo il post di oggi. Le foto che potevate vedere (quelle blu) sono infatti il panorama che si vede dal prato di questo bel ristorante di Barmasc, poco distante da Champoluc, in Val d'Aosta, dove la mia famiglia ha una piccola casa dove passiamo le vacanze.

Yesterday, I mentioned something about today's post. The pictures that you can see there (the blue ones) are in fact the view that you can see from the lawn of this beautiful restaurant in Barmasc, not far from Champoluc, Val d'Aosta, wheremy family has a small house where we spend the holidays.
The restaurant I'm speaking about is the one I quoted HERE, where I listed the best places where to eat in this area.
It's Le Solitaire, where we often eat and where we spent our last Easter.

Le Solitaire si tratta di un ristorante dove mangiare un'ottima polenta (concia! Che, come vi avevo già detto, significa "con aggiunta di fontina") accompagnata da affettati misti della zona, spezzatino e salsiccia al modico prezzo di 14€ (in abbondantissime porzioni!!)(bevande e dolci esclusi). Non male, non credete?Inoltre il servizio è informale ma impeccabile. Bisogna prenotare già esplicitando il menù che si sceglie (l'alternativa è zuppa valdostana, insalata e grigliata di carne)(spero un giorno di pubblicare la ricetta!), ma questo permette di eliminare totalmente i tempi di attesa.
The Solitaire is a great restaurant where you can eat polenta (the "concia" version ! That, as I had already said, means "with the addition of fontina") accompanied by cold cuts of the zone, sausages and stew at the modest price of 14 € (in abundant portions!!) (excluding drinks and desserts). That's great, isn't it?
In addition, the service is casual but impeccable. You have to book the menu you choose before you go (the alternative to polenta is Aosta soup, salad and grilledmeat) (I hope one day to publish the recipe!), but this can totally erase the waiting time.
Quello in cui sorge il rascard (la tipica abitazione valdostana in legno e pietra) che ospita il ristorante è un luogo piacevole d'inverno, per il suo panorama, ma lo è ancora di più con la bella stagione, in cui si può stare anche all'esterno.
The place where there is the rascard (the typical house made of wood and stones) that holds the restaurant is so pleasant in winter, for its landscape, but it is even more nice in the warm season, where you stay outside.
Infatti, la sua posizione, permette a Le Solitaire di avere un ampio spazio verde con tavoli all'esterno, sdraio e un are con un piccolo parco giochi per i bambini.
In fact, its position, allows Le Solitaire to have a large green space with outdoor seating, and a deck area with a small playground for children.
Insomma, noi siamo sempre lieti di andarci. Si mangiano cose semplici e buone, come da tradizione e in più permette di far passare un po' di tempo al sole e all'aperto.
A Pasqua, quando siamo andati, non c'era ancora un clima caldissimo, ma prendere un po' di sole dopo l'abbuffata è stato ideale :).
Ribadisco quindi di voler consigliare questo posto a chi vuole spendere poco e mangiare i piatti tipici valdostani senza rinunciare alla bontà.
Chiaramente devono piacere i prodotti della Val d'Aosta, perché il menù non prevede variazioni sul tema ;).

So, we're always glad to go there. There you can eat simple and good dishes, as tradition leads, and moreover you can also spend some time in the sun and outdoors.
At Easter, when we went, there wasn't a very hot climate yet, but to sunbathe after the binge was ideal :).
I repeat, therefore, I want to recommend this place to those who'd like to spend a little and eat typical dishes without sacrificing goodness.
Clearly you have to like products from the Val d'Aosta, because the menu doesn't include anything different ;).
