Parrocchiale di Santa Maria Assunta a Pontebernardo

Nell'abitato di Pontebernardo, frazione di Pietraporzio, si trova la piccola Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta.
L'edificio, di origini medioevali, si presenta con una facciata alquanto semplice, dipinta in epoca recente e con portale sovrastato da un affresco che immortala Santa Maria Assunta. Rifatta intorno al 1600 ha accanto a sè un alto campanile in pietra della stessa epoca.
L'interno, a tre navate, conserva una croce del XVI secolo usata durante le processioni.

In the town of Pontebernardo there is the small Church of Santa Maria Assunta.
The building which has medieval origins, presents a rather simple façade, painted in recent times and a portal surmounted by a fresco that captures Santa Maria Assunta. It was rebuilt in 1600 and has beside its a tall stone tower of the same era.
The interior with tree naves, has a cross of the sixteenth century, used during the processions.
