Red House Painters - Ocean Beach (1995)

(ITA) Ocean Beach è probabilmente l'unico album equilibrato dei Red House Painters; Kozelek introduce nel gruppo le sue influenze country (si è sempre dichiarato fan di Cash), a cominciare dall'allegra Cabezon. Ma continua anche a sfornare ballate al piano (Shadows), piccoli gioielli di folk drakeiano (Summer dress), di rock (San Geronimo) e di puro slowcore (Drop). La musica acquista definitivamente la stessa importanza poetica dei soliti, splendidi, testi.
