Sono state assegnate ieri pomeriggio le nominations per gli Independent Spirit Awards 2014, ovvero i primi americani destinati al cinema indipendente che da sempre sono considerati come ottimi delineatori per i più importanti Oscar.
Quest'anno i due protagonisti per eccellenza sono stati 12 Years a Slave di Steve McQueen (Shame) e Nebraska di Alexander Payne (Paradiso Amaro), i due super candidati per gli Oscar 2014 hanno totalizzato rispettivamente sette e sei nominations.
Nella cinquina più attesa (Best Feature) oltre ai due film già citati anche il dramma All is Lost, Frances Ha e Inside Llewyn Davis, sorpresa (mica tanto) per l'Italia che si merita un posto in queste nominations grazie alla candidatura nella sezione Best International Film con La Grande Bellezza di Paolo Sorrentino.
