Il 18 aprile 1990 muore ad Orange County, all’età di ottantasette anni, Robert D. Webb, regista statunitense, vincitore di un premio Oscar come migliore aiuto regia nel 1938 per L’incendio di Chicago di Henry King. Oltre ad aver lavorato come aiuto regista, Webb ha diretto ben sedici pellicole tra il 1945 ed il 1968.
