Starting today, a new challenge for a Marathon full of history, from Shiraz, the city where Rumi was born, to Persepolis, the ancient capital of Persia. Darius sent the Persian soldiers to conquer Greece but the Persian army, was beaten at Marathon in 490 b.C. From there, in the legend of Pheidippides and established during the modern Olympic games in Athens, 1986 the word “Marathon” began in sport. We are in 400 to run the first Iran Marathon in history, with the accomplishment to run for peace and brotherhood of peoples!
Inizia con oggi, la mia preparazione per una Maratona piena di storia, da Shiraz, città dove nacque RUMI a Persepoli, città di Dario che con i soldati Persiani tentò di conquistare la Grecia ma a Maratona il suo esercito venne sconfitto nel 490 A.C.. Dalla leggenda di Filippide e dai primi Giochi Olimpici moderni della storia, Atene 1886, nacque la “Maratona” come pratica sportiva. Saremo in 400 a correre questa prima Maratona nella storia, in Iran, e la correremo nel segno della pace e fratellanza fra i popoli!
