(questo è il primo post del nuovo anno :) )Ora che si è adeguatamente festeggiato l'ingresso del nuovo anno (e ci si è un po' ripresi), si ha le energie giuste per poter portare avanti i propri progetti (e iniziare una dieta disintossicante!).In bocca al lupo a tutti voi!Io continuo a viaggiare e in questi giorni sono stata nella bellissima Umbria a casa di Giacomo, il mio ragazzo (ieri ho attraversato l'Italia treno per arrivare in Val d'Aosta...!)(e non ce l'ho ancora fatta...) e data la vicinanza abbiamo deciso un giorno di passarlo nella città eterna: Roma.

I keep on traveling and these days I was in the beautiful Umbria at Giacomo's house, my boyfriend, (yesterday I crossed Italy by train to get to Val d'Aosta ...!)(and I'm not there yet...) And given the proximity to it, we decided to spend a day in the Eternal City: Rome.

Ero stata a Roma verso i 12 anni e poi 2 giorni in gita. Quindi diciamo che non mi sento di dire di aver vissuto la città e di conoscerla. L'altro ieri, in un pomeriggio abbiamo assaporato un po' delle strade più belle e dell'arte un po' meno ovvia che la città offre, andando a cercare gli strepitosi Caravaggio che si trovano a Santa Maria del Popolo e a San Luigi dei Francesi. Sono opere stupende e la loro visione sola merita il viaggio nella Urbe. Una grande emozione.I've been in Rome when I was about 12 years for 10 days and then just 2 days on a school trip. So, during the last days of 2011, we have been in its most beautiful streets looking for the less trivial art that the city offers: the sensational Caravaggio's works that are in Santa Maria del Popolo and in San Luigi die Francesi. These works are wonderful, and just their vision is enough to justify the journey in the Urbe. A great emotion.

location: Rome, Italyphotograph: Costanza Saglioperiod: december 2011Per il resto abbiamo girato un po' qua un po' là da Via Nazionale, al Ghetto, a Campo dei Fiori, al Quirinale a Piazza Navona (come sempre animatissima e ancora molto natalizia!)(deludenti però le statuine dei presepi!), il Pantheon ecc... Ci siamo fermati giusto per un cappuccino la mattina, una focaccia al pomeriggio e infine ci siamo concessi una coppa gelato da Giolitti in Via Uffici del Vicario, mitica gelateria del 1900 dallo stile inconfondibile e con un gelato che fa impallidire Grom.Then we walked around, beyond Via Nazionale, the ghetto, Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona (as always it was so lively and it let you breathe the Christmas atmosphere yet)(however I was deluded by christmas Santos), Quirinale ... etc. We just stopped for a cappuccino in the morning, a pie in the afternoon and then we give ourselves the pleasure of an ice cream by Giolitti in Via Uffici del Vicario, the legendary ice cream shop until 1900, with a unique style and an ice cream pales Grom (one of best Italian ice cream shop).

Bisogna lavorare molto di più con il diaframma e il focus manuale. Spero come sempre di ricevere i vostri consigli. Presto condividerò anche le foto che ho fatto ad un concerto e che mi hanno dato più soddisfazione.
The pictures that I took don't drive me crazy, but I'm trying to learn how to use the new Canon lens 50mm f 1.4 and is not so immediate. It needs that you work much more with the aperture and manual focus. As always I hope to receive your suggestions. Soon I will share the photos that I took at a concert and they gave me more satisfaction.

Mi hanno detto che quest'anno le luci son meno maestose del solito, ma d'altronde sappiamo che l'economia italiana non sta passando un bel periodo, e mi pare giusto che si riducano le spese delle luci natalizie. Tuttavia quelle che c'erano erano elegantissime e davano alla città comunque un ottimo aspetto. Anche la lunga fascia tricolore lungo tutta Via del Corso, fino a Piazza del Popolo fa il suo effetto (e regala un po' di sano patriottismo in onore dei 150 anni di unità italiana).After the ice cream, the city has been illuminated. Some people told me that this year the Christmas lights are less than usual, but on the other hand we know that the Italian economy is not passing a good time, and I think it right that the government reduce the cost of Christmas lights. However those that were on were elegant and the city was still looking great. Even the long tricolor sash along Via del Corso to Piazza del Popolo had its gorgeous effect (and it gives an healthy patriotism in honor of 150 years of Italian unity).
