Oggi fare techno è cool. Questo genere musicale per anni, anzi per decenni ha messo paura a quasi tutti, pure a molti tra organizzatori e clubber compresi che al posto di techno usavano la parola elettronica. Quindici anni o vent'anni fa la techno però aveva già le sue stelle ed una delle più luminose è da sempre quella di Jeff Mills. Il top dj di Detroit, uno dei pochi veri simboli della techno, sabato 7 febbraio 2015 fa ballare il Bolgia di Bergamo col suo sound sofisticato, elegante e tremendamente efficace sul dancefloor. Il party è Warp Universo Parallelo. Tra i suoi più recenti progetti c'è "Man From Tomorrow" un art film di fantascienza creato in collaborazione con la film maker francese Jacqueline Caux. La sua tecnica in console è unica, il suo sound sopraffino, la sua label è Axis. Ha collaborato anche con coreografi, orchestre di musica classica, artisti contemporanei e pure con l'astronauta giapponese Mamoru Mohri. Drink 3 euro. Jeff Mills is considered the most brilliant DJ and producer of techno in the World. He is the most recognized representative figure of the Detroit Techno, where he began his career as a DJ on the WDRQ radio in 1984. He has created with "Mad Mike Banks" the collective "Underground Resistance", which became a reference in the electro sphere. In 1992, Jeff Mills created his own label in Chicago: with "Axis", he could keep his artistic independence and produce his own timeless electronic music compositions, inspired of science fiction. (…) In 2008, Jeff Mills was commissioned to create a comtemporary installation for 100 Year Anniversary of the Futurist Manifesto at the Pompidou Center. At the Sonar Festival in Barcelona, Jeff Mills and « Mad Mike Banks » were together again for an historical performance called « X-102, Rediscovers the Rings of Saturn », mixing video and music.
