Vi siete mai soffermati ad osservare un prato in estate, quando le prime luci del mattino lo colgono ancora umido di quelle piccole gocce di rugiada che aspergono nell'aria i profumi delicati delle sue essenze, oppure al calare del sole, quando gli ultimi raggi lo accarezzano salutando ogni fiore, ad uno ad uno .... 
Vi si percepisce un'armonia di colori e di profumi che stimola la fantasia e che non sfugge ad un poeta delle immagini che immediatamente sente di dover tradurre in pittura.
Ebbene, quest'oggi voglio sfogliare con voi questo splendido libello datato 1905 illustrato da Walter Crane (1845 -1915), famoso acquerellista della Londra Edoardiana che, con Kate Greenaway, condivide il primato dell'arte dell'acquerello e delle illustrazioni in libri del tempo, principalmente per fanciulli; egli, con la fantasia e l'abilità propria di un vero maestro nella sua arte, lesse l'accordo che diviene bellezza, percepito nell'osservare un prato, come un vero sposalizio che affiata tutti i fiori che al prato appartengono

... ma osserviamo in quale incantevole ed affascinante maniera ciascuno, di questa armonia, è parte ...

Il Dolce Sultano giunse ( Sweet Sultan è l'inglese per Centaurea )

Infine anche la Strisciante Jenny, un'anziana signora ( Creeping Jenny è l'inglese per Lysimachia Mummularis dai fiori dorati )

E Piede d'Oca ( Goosefoot è l'inglese per Chenopodium ) e Salvia tra Casette di Porri
ricorrendo alla personificazione di fiori ed erbe selvatiche e 'giocando' con il doppio significato dei loro nomi in inglese, Crane, in immagini portatrici di grazia e delicatezza, orchestra una cerimonia perfetta, del tutto analoga ad un ricevimento di nozze, e proprio per il garbo che emanano sono immagini che si lasciano piacevolmente osservare ad ogni età.

Dolcissimi Piselli ( Sweet Peas è l'inglese per Lathyrus odoratus, comunemente detto Pisello odoroso ) e torta di ottime ciliegiePer una festa a cui un Assessore non potrebbe di certo rinunciare !

In deliziose Coppe del Re ( King Cup è l'inglese per Caltha palustris ) vi era Tè di Camomilla

Tazze di Burro d'oro ( Buttercups è l'inglese per il Ranunculus asiaticus ) e Nepenthes (Pitcher in inglese significa brocca ), tutto ciò che una casa potrebbe desiderare

Da che ho avviato questa nuova esperienza la mia vita è cambiata considerevolmente, ovviamente in meglio, dato che qui ho modo di dare espressione alle mie aspirazioni e di coltivare passioni che condivido con voi; il Blog mi ha dato inoltre l'opportunità di conoscere persone bellissime, sto pensando soprattutto ad una cara amica che ha davvero cambiato la mia vita, conosciuta proprio qui.

Sono molto emotiva, il che spesso è uno svantaggio, sia per me che per chi mi sta attorno, anche se devo ammettere che l'essere emotiva mi mette in contatto più direttamente con le cose e con le persone

Certo che esiste e molto spesso è parallela a quella reale, la motiva e la supporta.

Credo che un Award consenta di far conoscere nuove persone e nuovi mondi e che perciò dell'amicizia virtuale sia un valido sostegno.

Have you ever stopped to observe a lawn in summer, when the first light of the morning capture it still wet of those little drops of dew that sprinkle in the air the delicate scents of its essence, or at the sunset, when the last rays of the sun caress it greeting each flower, one by one .... 
You can perceive an harmony of colors and fragrances that stimulates the imagination and that doesn't escape to a poet of the images that immediately feels he must translate it into painting. 
Well, today I want to browse with you this beautiful booklet dated 1905 illustrated by Walter Crane (1845 - 1915), the famous watercolorist who lived in the Edwardian London and who, with Kate Greenaway, shares the primacy in this art and in that of illustrations in books of the time, mainly for children; he, with his imagination and the skill of a true master of his craft, read the agreement, which becomes beauty, perceived observing a meadow, like a real wedding that puts in loving harmony all the flowers belonging to the meadow

But let's look at in what a charming and fascinating manner each, of this harmony, is part ...

resorting to the personification of flowers and wild herbs and 'playing' with the double meaning of their names in English, Crane, in pictures bearers of grace and delicacy, orchestrates a perfect ceremony, very similar to a wedding reception, and for the grace emanating these are images that we may pleasantly observe at any age.

Since I've started this new experience my life has considerably changed, for the better of course, since here I have the chance of giving expression to my aspirations and to cultivate great passions that I share with you; the Blog also gave me the opportunity to meet wonderful people, I'm thinking especially to a dear friend that has really changed my life, known here, as well.

I consider intelligence a gift far more valuable than physical attraction: with time intelligence can be cultivated and increased, physical attraction is linked to an ephemeral nature, is of less substance and, alas, so little durable. ..

On the average, two or three a month, it depends by others commitments and by the flow of the text.
