In this hot
summer you should visit the aquarium in Genoa.
In a previous post I talked about this huge aquarium, which is also a
significant architectural structure designed by the famous architect Renzo Piano, but now some
new friends are arrived here. Now it has been designed a new wing of the
aquarium which will be the home of the dolphins: our very nice friends. The
Dolphins hosted will be six : 4 females and two males . The pavilion emerges only 3 meters above the
sea and it can be visited looking the marine friends in the four tubs designed for them. You can also
have a underwater visit without getting
wet: a great opportunity to admire these beautiful animals in their environment
, all thanks to a glass tunnel.
What can I
say? Exciting!

In addition to being an amazing visit, the wing is a jewel of the architecture and it was planned more for the welfare of these animals than the comfort of the visitors. That’s so right in my personal opinion! This pavilion is analogous to a building and the biggest part of it is developed under water. The visit is also instructive because you can get information about the protected sea area between Italy and France, where it is practiced the whales watching. You can have some suggestions about how to spot these great friends and the dolphins respecting their habitat. A good news? The ticket price does not change. I can’t wait to see these marine friends. In un precedente post avevo parlato di questo grande acquario che è anche una struttura architettonica rilevante studiata dal grande architetto Renzo Piano ma ora più che mai sono arrivati dei nuovi amici. Ora è stata progettata una nuova ala dell’acquario che ospita i delfini, da sempre simpatici amici dell’uomo. I delfini ospitati saranno sei di cui quattro femmine e due maschi. Il padiglione è stato progettato emergere solo 3 metri sopra al mare e poter essere visitato guardando da sopra i simpatici amici marini nelle quattro vasche progettate per loro e poi in una visita sottomarina senza bagnarsi: un’ottima possibilità di ammirare questi splendidi animali nel loro ambiente, tutto grazie ad un tunnel di vetro. Che dire? Emozionante! Oltre ad essere una visita incredibile il padiglione è un gioiello dell’architettura e dell’ingegneria progettato più per il benessere degli animali che per la comodità dei visitatori: cosa che personalmente trovo giustissima! Questo padiglione è analogo ad un palazzo la maggior parte si sviluppa sotto acqua. La visita è anche istruttiva perché si potranno avere informazioni sull’area protetta che si trova tra Italia e Francia e dove viene praticato l’avvistamento delle balene e simili cetacei. Vengono dati suggerimenti su come avvistare questi grandi amici e come rispettarli nel loro habitat. Una buona notizia? Il prezzo d’ingresso non varia. Non vedo l’ora di vedere questi amici marini, quando li ho avvistati in libertà mi ero commossa!
