Amelia DOC - Umbrian wine fair

Come sapete recentemente ho scoperto i piaceri delle fiere enogastonomiche che l'Italia, giustamente date le proprie risorse, sparge per il proprio territorio. (Io ero stata a Vinum, ad Alba). E come sapete, spesso vi ho parlato di Amelia (QUI trovate tutti i post dedicati), cittadina dell'Umbria, come di un luogo ameno e suggestivo, immerso nella brulla campagna di questa verde regione.
Ecco: unite i due fattori e otterrete un evento molto speciale previsto per il weekend compreso tra il 15 e il 17 giugno: Amelia Doc - "una manifestazione enologica (e non solo) che riunisce i Produttori del territorio Amerino per divulgarne e ribadirne l'assoluta eccellenza".
E ultimo ma non meno importate, durante questa edizione ci sarà un ospite speciale: il prof. Massimo Donà, Ordinario di Filosofia teoretica all'Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele di Milano (la mia Università).
As you know I recently discovered the pleasures of wine and food fairs that Italy due their resources, rightly spreads in its own territory. (I had been in Vinum, Alba). And as you know, I have often talked of Amelia (HERE you can find all the posts dedicated), the small Umbrian town, as a charming and delightful place, surrounded by the barren countryside of this green region.


Behold the two factors together and you have a very special event planned for the weekend between 15 and 17 June: Amelia Doc - "a wine tasting event (and not only) that brings together the producers of the area of Amelia to spread and reaffirm the 'excellence ".
And last but not least, there will be a special guest: prof. Massimo Donà, Professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan (that's my University).

Ma andiamo per ordine:
Il primo giorno - venerdì 15 giugno - Show Cooking con lo Chef Paolo Trippini, docente presso le Scuole de Il Gambero Rosso e Chef Academy Terni. Ne segue la cena con le tre portate preparate e illustrate dallo chef abbinate a due differenti vini. First things first: The first day - Friday, June 15 - Cooking Show with Chef Paolo Trippini, professor at the School of  Il Gambero Rosso and Chef Academy Terni. Sabato, invece, è tutto dedicato alla degustazione di vini. Una verticale di Brunello di Montalcino DOCG "Poggio alle Mura" della Cantina Castello Banfi si terrà presso la Pinacoteca del Museo Civico Archeologico, una sede davvero d'eccezione. Saturday, however, is entirely dedicated to wine tasting. A upright of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG "Poggio alle Mura" della Cantina Castello Banfi will be held at the Art Gallery of the Civic Archaeological Museum, a truly exceptional site. Dulcis in Fundo, domenica 17 giugno giornata piena d'appuntamenti: dalle 10.30 inizia la degustazione delle 16 cantine e dei prodotti tipici del territorio. Ingresso libero: 10€ per l'acquisto del bicchiere (QUI potrete usufruire dello sconto del 10%)
Per chi non lo sapesse, aggiungo che l'Umbria è una regione di buongustai, i cui prodotti sono fiore all'occhiello della tradizione italiana. Credo infatti che la degustazione si tratterà di un notevole banchetto!

For the uninitiated, I add that Umbria is a region of gourmets, whose products are the pride of the Italian tradition. I believe that the tasting will be a great feast!

A seguire è anche prevista una visita guidata al Museo Archeologico, al quale mi piacerebbe più avanti dedicare un post. Per fare un nome su tutti è qui che troverete la celebre statua di bronzo del Germanico ritrovata negli anni '60 ed esposta dopo un lunghissimo restauro.
Per concludere, alle 18 presso la Sala Flavio Boccarini, il prof. Massimo Donà che, come vi ho anticipato, è uno dei docenti più importanti della mia Università (nonché un jazzista di alto livello), terrà una conferenza dal titolo:  Il Vino e il Mondo intorno. Un percorso in cui l'indagine filosofica s'interroga sull'essenza e la natura del vino e ad esse s'intreccia, alla scoperta dei molteplici significati e delle innumerevoli forme del nettare 'divino'. Discuterà con lui Giacomo Petrarca.

Below is also provided a guided tour of the Archaeological Museum, which I'd like to dedicate a later post. To make a name for all is there where you will find the famous bronze statue of Germanicus found in the '60s and exposed after a lengthy restoration.
Finally, to 18 at the Sala Flavio Boccarini, prof. Maximum Donà that, as I mentioned, is one of the most important teachers in my university (as well as a jazz musician of high-level), will hold a conference entitled: The Wine and the World around (Il Vino e il Mondo intorno). A path in which the survey questions will be around the philosophical essence and nature of wine and interwoven with them, to discover the many meanings and many forms of the 'divine' nectar. The discussant will be Giacomo Petrarca.
                  

"Il vino " - scrive Donà - "per imparare a sentire pensando e a pensare sentendo, il vino per esplorare il nostro rapporto con il sacro, il vino come prodotto della tecnica e della cultura di un territorio. Un dialogo filosofico ed enologico sul vino, portando alla luce tutti gli stimoli intellettivi e le metafore che a esso sono legati".
Oltre a numerosi saggi filosofici, Massimo Donà è autore di una trilogia dedicata al tema del vino: Filosofia del Vino, L'anima del Vino e il suo ultimo testo intitolato, appunto, Il Vino e il Mondo intorno. 
Insomma tre giorni intensi tutti volti al piacere della tavola e del convivio.

"Wine" - Donà writes - "to learn to fell thanks to thinking and to think thanks to feeling, the wine to explore our relationship with the sacred, the wine as a product of technology and culture of an area. A philosophical dialogue about wine and wine-making, bringing to light all the intellectual stimulation and metaphors that are tied to it. "


In addition to numerous philosophical essays, Massimo Donà is the author of a trilogy dedicated to the theme of wine: Filosofia del Vino, L'anima del Vino and his latest piece entitled, precisely, Il Vino e il Mondo intorno.


So three days intense faces all the pleasures of the table and the banquet.

Allora, cosa ne pensate? L'evento, tra le altre cose, è anche un ottimo motivo per scoprire questi luoghi che a me hanno così tanto conquistata: vi consiglio di non perderlo!
Inoltre, Amelia DOC non dimentica la gravissima situazione delle zone terremotate; a tal fine, l'organizzazione ha deciso di devolvere il 10% degli incassi alle zone terremotate dell'Emilia. Un gesto importante che non posso che condividere e apprezzare.
