Art and fashion: fashion is art!!

Stamani è venerdì, e come tutti i venerdì è la volta della mia amatissima rubrica sull'arte e la moda, ossia "ART AND FASHION: FASHION IS ART".
Stamani vi parlo di una costumista molto famosa, sto parlando di COLLEEN ATWOOD, vincitrice di tre premi Oscar, rispettivamente per i migliori costumi di Chicago, Memorie di una Geisha e Alice in Wonderland.
Colleen Atwood è una costumista statunitense, debutta nel mondo della moda nei primi anni settanta, come assistente del dipartimento costumi per opere teatrali e cinematografiche.
A partire dal 1984 diventa costumista in proprio, lavorando nella stragrande maggioranza nei film degli anni ottanta/novanta, tra i quali "Una vedova allegra...ma non troppo" (1988), "Edward mani di forbice" (1990) e "Piccole Donne" (1994).
La sua fama la porterà a collaborare con registi del calibro di Tim Burton, Jonathan Demme.
Inoltre la Atwood ha realizzato costumi per due music video della band statunitense My Chemical Romance, Welcome to the Black Parade e Famous Last Words.
