Art and fashion: fashion is art" - milena canonero!

Buongiorno a tutti!!
Stamani è venerdì, e come tutti i venerdì è la volta della mia cara rubrica sull'arte e la moda, "ART AND FASHION:FASHION IS ART".
Stamani, ho deciso di presentarvi una costumista molto famosa e con grande talento, vincitrice di tre Premi Oscar, sto parlando di MILENA CANONERO.
Milena, è una costumista italiana, nasce a Torino, studia arte e storia della moda e poi si trasferisce in Inghilterra.
Comincia a lavorare in alcuni piccole produzioni sia per il teatro che per il cinema. Come designer pubblicitaria, a Londra, ha l'opportunità di incontrare molti registi, incluso Hugh Hudson. Incontra Stanley Kubrick sul set di 2001: Odissea nello Spazio, che in seguito le offre il primo incarico da costumista per Arancia Meccanica.
Sempre Stanley Kubrik, le affida l'incarico di realizzare i costumi per il film "Barry Lyndon" con il quale si aggiudica l'Oscar. Il regista Hugh Hudson le affida i costumi di "Momenti di Gloria", storia di due atleti ambientata negli anni'20, il suo lavoro l'aiuta ad aggiudicarsi il secondo Oscar.
Inoltre Milena viene nominata altre cinque volte, per film come "La mia Africa" e "Dick Tracy"
Il terzo Premio Oscar, se lo è aggiudicato grazie ai costumi realizzati per il film della regista Sofia Coppola, "Marie Antoinette".
Ma non è finita qui, i suoi lavori risalgono fino al 2007 con "Viceré" di Roberto Faenza e "Il treno per Darjeeling" di Wes Anderson e al 2010 con "Wolfman" di Joe Johnston".
Io mi sono innamorata di questa donna/costumista/artista e sono felice di averla inserita nella mia rubrica settimanale sull'arte e la moda, perché ne vale veramente la pena.
