Le biotecnologie sono un rimedio contro la crisi
L’Assobiotec non ha dubbi, secondo un rapporto presentato ad un’assemblea dell’associazione le biotecnologie hanno avuto un incremento del fatturato nel 2012 del 6% nel nostro Paese con relativo incremento degli investimenti in ricerca e sviluppo del 2,9%. La crisi economica che attanaglia il mondo ormai dal 2009, a quanto pare non riguarda le biotecnologie, un settore sempre più in crescita in Italia. Le biotecnologie viste come un patrimonio di conoscenze e competenze in grado di migliorare le nostre condizioni di vita, assicurare un certa crescita economica, creare occupazione altamente qualificata, sono una risorsa oramai non trascurabile. Io azzarderei che nelle biotecnologie potremo vedere anche uno dei motori di rilancio del nostro Paese, per farlo diventare più competitivo degli altri Paesi concorrenti, europei e non(“non tutti” sanno l’Italia è la terza potenza europea per numero d’imprese pure biotech dopo Germania e Regno Unito). Ci vogliono delle politiche di alto livello con un serio piano di sviluppo delle biotecnologie che ci permetta di primeggiare. Ma purtroppo ci tocca sentire ciò sugli OGM e non solo...
