Una delle cose che più affascinano di Serifos è senz'altro la Chora, la parte più alta e caratteristica dell'isola. I 'cubetti' bianchi dai profili blu, tipici delle isole della Grecia, si arrampicano sulla collina lasciando tra di loro lo spazio solo per piccole stradine di pietra. Il centro è segnato da una piazzetta deliziosa occupata da sedie azzurre e piccoli locali vicino alla chiesa. Per illuminarla, un filo di luci la attraversano, dandole un'atmosfera speciale.Basta guardarsi attorno per far scattare la magia di questi luoghi, facendosi contagiare dalla pace e dalla serenità che sanno trasmettere. Si riesce anche a distanza? Un pochino. Vi lascio qualche immagine per provarci ;).

One of the things that fascinate the most of Serifos is certainly the Chora, the highest and most characteristic zone of the island. The white 'cubes' profiles in blue, typical of the islands of Greece, climbing up the hill, leaving space between them only for small cobbled streets. The center is marked by a delicious square occupied by blue chairs and small cafes near the church. To illuminate it, there's a strand of lights through it, giving it a special atmosphere.Just look around to trigger the magic of this place, becoming conteminated by the peace and serenity that it can transmit. Can you feel it even if we're now so far from it? A little bit, yes, maybe. I leave you some pictures to try ;).

Il Cafè stou Stratou è uno dei più in dell'isola. O almeno questa è stata la nostra impressione. L'anno scorso abbiamo cercato di farci l'aperitivo varie volte, ma il nostro gruppo è sempre stato ben più numeroso dei posti a sedere liberi che trovavamo. Solo una volta siamo riusciti a fare una bella colazione con yogurt greco e frutta. Quest'anno invece, la mia famiglia, tornandoci è riuscita a fare il famoso aperitivo, senza rimanere delusi.

The Café stou Stratou is one of the coolest of the island. Or, at least, that was our impression. Last year we tried to get to a drink several times, but our group has always been much larger than free seating we could find. Only once we were able to have a nice breakfast with greek yogurt and fruit. This year, my family, get back there and they have succeeded in making the famous happy hour there, without disappointment.

Allora, siete riusciti ad immaginarvi un po' quell'atmosfera? Certamente non è la stessa cosa, ma durante queste piovose giornate di inizio settembre, male non fa!
