The Böhmerland (or Čechie, as it was known domestically) was a motorcycle produced in Czechoslovakia from 1924 until 1939. In those years, the 20 employees of the factory in Schönlinde (Sudetenland) produced circa 3000 machines. Almost all features of this distinctive model were designed by the Czech engineer Albin Leibisch, including the extremely long tube frame, the front forks, the overhead valve single-cylinder engine of 600cc, and the solid cast wheels, which were a real innovation, since they started to be widely adopted by the industry only in the 70s. The original Bohmerland Sport was born in 1928. The 2014 Supersport concept is a modern bike which features a re-engineered single cylinder engine, chrome-molybden rigid frame with original shape and a peculiar gas tank with top opening. We like it. 
La Böhmerland (o Čechie, come era conosciuta in patria) era una moto prodotta in Cecoslovacchia dal 1924 al 1939. In quegli anni, i 20 dipendenti della fabbrica di Schönlinde, nei Sudati, ne produssero circa 3000 unità. Quasi tutte le caratteristiche di questo particolare modello furono progettati dall’ingenere ceco Albin Leibisch, compreso il telaio in tubi di lunghezza non comune, la forcella anteriore, il motore monocilindrico di 600cc a valvole in testa, e le ruote in lega stampate, all’epoca una vera novità, dal momento che sono state adottate nella produzione motociclistica di serie solo negli anni '70. L'originale Bohmerland Sport era del 1928. La Supersport concept del 2014 è una moto moderna che dispone di un motore monocilindrico re-ingegnerizzato, telaio hardtail in acciao al cromo-molibdeno dalla forma caratteristica e un serbatoio carburante con apertura superiore. Ci piace. 






Michal Jelinek is a Czech concept artist and designer. He worked at Autodesk as global automotive concept designer and technical account manager. Previously he held various creative positions at design and styling departments of VW, Skoda, Citroen, GM Europe, Mercedes both as employee and freelance. From 2012, Mike runs his own design consulting company. 
Michal Jelinek è un artista e designer Ceco. Ha lavorato presso la Autodesk come concept designer automobilistico e technical account manager. In precedenza ha coperto diversi incarichi come stilista e progettista in VW, Skoda, Citroen, GM Europe, Mercedes sia come dipendente che come freelance. Dal 2012, Mike gestisce una sua società di consulenza.
