The heart of Bucephalus is a 1967 Triumph Bonneville T120 twin engine, properly tuned to perform at its best. Modifications included a 10 bolt head conversion, short stroke rods, Nic-a-Sil aluminium cylinders, custom JRC TT exhausts and open K&N air-filters. This heart pulses in a modern frame, specifically designed for this bike: a monocoque structure which uses the engine as a partially stressed member. It has been cut from 7075 aircraft-grade aluminium which uses carbon engine plates while the oil-cooler is installed at the front, between the frame elements. The front end is from a Buell X1 with revised internals. The front disk brakes are Beringer while the rear one is Brembo.
Il cuore della Bucefalo è un bicilindrico Triumph Bonneville del 1967 (T120, 650 cc), opportunamente preparato per rendere al suo meglio. Le modifiche hanno contemplato l’utilizzo di una testa T140 (la Bonnie 750 cc), bielle a corsa corta, cilindri maggiorati in alluminio Nic-a-Sil, scarichi artigianali TT della JCR e filtri aria aperti K&N. Il cuore pulsa in un moderno telaio progettato ad hoc: una struttura a trave centrale che utilizza il motore come elemento parzialmente stressato. E' stata ricavata tagliando alluminio aeronautico 7075 ed utilizza piastre motore in carbonio, mentre il radiatore dell'olio è in posizione frontale tra i gli elementi del telaio. L’avantreno è di una Buell X1 con idraulica rivisitata. I freni anteriori sono Beringer mentre quello posteriore è Brembo.
