Christmas hunting in Milan - the design step: Hi-Tech

Sono due giorni che mi dedico all'acquisto spasmodico dei regali di Natale. Io adoro pensare a che cosa regalare ai miei amici, ma acquistarlo poi diventa sempre abbastanza stressante.
A Milano è difficile non trovare tutto ciò che si desidera - più difficile ancora è non spendere un patrimonio e sopravvivere a resse, code, metropolitane....
Ecco un piccolo 'viaggio' per i negozi in cui è più facile trovare piccoli pensieri simpatici per un Natale semplice e divertente!
I devote my last two days to the spasmodic purchase of Christmas gifts. I love to think about what to give to my friends, but buy it then becomes quite stressful.
In Milan, it is hard not to find anything you want - more difficult is not to spend a fortune and survive despite queues, crowd, subways ....

Mi ha fatto conoscere Hi-Tech mia cugina una vita fa. Non conoscevo affatto Milano e all'epoca farvi visita era come entrare un una sorta di megamagazzino abitato dove si trovava di tutto. Hi-Tech aveva già allora fomentato questa mia convinzione. 
Si tratta di un negozio dove si trova l'impensabile. Milioni di oggetti di uso quotidiano o meno reinventati dall'estro del design. Gli oggetti in vendita sono per tutte le tasche: non c'è da sperare di trovare dei sottocosto, ma non si tratta nemmeno di una boutique incomprabile. A parte ovviamente l'arredamento (che è l'unica cosa che mostrano sul sito), il resto è papabile per un regalo di Natale di gusto e non troppo impegnativo.
Oggetti comprati o apprezzati nel corso degli anni: fermalibri composti da un asta flessibile di metallo e due gommini, da flettere e posizionare a partire dall'ultimo libro dello scaffale alla parete della libreria, teste di alci sagomate di cartone a fantasie floreali da appendere al muro, tovagliette da colazione disegnate in bianco e nero vendute con i pennarelli per poterle colorare... 
Il negozio si articola su vari livelli, allestito in un ambiente in legno molto suggestivo. E' un luogo che merita davvero una vista. Oltretutto si trova in una delle zone più belle di Milano: piazza XXV aprile, che si affaccia sullo chiccosissimo Corso Como, in zona Moscova/Garibaldi:
my cousin introduced me Hi-Tech a lifetime ago. Do not know at all Milan and to visit it at the time was like entering in a sort of mega-mall-town where you can find everything. Hi-Tech already had fostered this belief.
This is a shop where there is the unthinkable. Millions of everyday-items or less reinvented by the inspiration of the design. The items on sale are ok for all budgets: there is no hope of finding a loss, but it is not even a unbuyable boutique. Except the furniture, of course (that is the unique thing that the web site shows you), the rest is papal candidate for a nice and not too demanding Christmas gift.
Items bought or appreciated over the years: bookends made ​​of a flexible rod made of metal and two grommets: to use it you should flex and position the rod from the last book of the shelf to the wall of the library; moose heads shaped made of cardboard with floral pattern to hang on wall, black and white designed place mats for breakfast sold with colored drawing pens to color it ...
The store is divided into various levels, set in a very impressive wood location. It's a place that is well worth a view. In addiction it is in one of the most beautiful areas in Milan: Piazza XXV Aprile, which overlooks the very chic Corso Como, in  Moscova /Garibaldi district:



Sicuramente è un luogo per persone che cercano qualcosa di originale e "artistico".
Sul sito si trova una simpatica guida ai regali con 3 fasce di budget: 29, 39, 49 (€).Hanno preparato anche dei "pacchetti" composti da più regali legati da un tema/interesse/passione (con un tocco in più - da copiare -: abbinato c'è sempre anche un libro)(sì è un po' radical-chic).

They also prepared some "package" consisting of several gifts from a related topic /interest / passion (with a twist - to copy -: they are always combined with a book) (yes is a little bit in radical chic style).
