Today it was a rainy day in Roma. And plus, it was Easter as well and Porta Portese was surreally empty. Many counters was missingand there was not too much crowd. Under a plastic waterproof shit I saw a beautiful old case containing many interesting stuff, expecially beat and soul international music from the 60s. In the bottom of this crate there was this beautiful copy from the original soundtrack of the movie Danger Diabolik by unforgettable Maestro Mario Bava. It was a lot of time I did want to have a copy, since I found one at my grandfather' house that gave to a friend of mine as present. Unmistakable touch by Ennio Morricone, author of the music, at his best performance in thrilling soundtracks, after the spaghetti western phase. Listen HERE
Oggi a Roma pioveva. In più era pure Pasqua e Porta Portese era surrealmente vuoto. Mancavano un sacco di banchi e c'era pochissima gente. Sotto un telo di plastica trasparente ho visto una bella valigetta che conteneva parecchie cose interessanti, specialmente soul e beat internazionale anni 60. Poi in fondo alla valigetta questa bellissima copia di Deep Down, dalla colonna sonora del film Danger Diabolik del compianto maestro Mario Bava. Era parecchio tempo che desideravo averne una copia da quando ne trovai una a casa di mio nonno e che regalai a un mio amico. Tocco inconfondibile di Ennio Morricone, autore delle musiche, nella sua migliore fase, quella dei thrilling, subito dopo la fase spaghetti western. Ascoltatelo QUI
