Marnie ormai non c’è più: nel suo corpo pensa e agisce Antonia, la strega bruciata al rogo 400 anni prima. Bill capisce che Marnie/Antonia può condurre tutti i vampiri alla morte, e decide allora di mettere in atto un piano mortale quanto lo è il sole. Sookie e Eric continuano a condividere i loro momenti intimi in ogni posto di Bon Temps, sembra (??, ndr), e la cosa non fa di certo piacere ad Alcide (un voyeur ci mancava, eh? ndr). Eric non vuole riacquistare la memoria se ciò significa perdere l’amore di Sookie. Tara riesce a salvarsi, mentre Sam scopre l’inganno del fratello. Jessica realizza l’amara verità sulla sua storia con Hoyt il quale ignora che la sua ragazza è diventata l’oggetto del desiderio del suo migliore amico. Lafayette prende coscienza dei suoi poteri e potrebbe essere l’unico in grado di sconfiggere Marnie. Quest’ultima spiega alla sua congrega le ragioni per le quali vuole liberarsi dei vampiri, e lo stesso Bill ne prende atto. Alla fine dell’episodio, un vampiro non resisterà alla tentazione di esporsi alla luce del sole.
In “Cold Grey Light of Dawn,” Marnie (Fiona Shaw) is gone. Her body has been taken over by the 400-year-old witch Antonia, who, as flashbacks revealed, died a gruesome death during the Spanish Inquisition and has good cause to want payback. With her powers, she can compel vampires to walk into the sunlight – to their own fiery doom.
Bill (Stephen Moyer) quickly realizes she could massacre them all. His plan to save his subjects is almost as deadly as the sun itself.
Meanwhile, Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) take their lovemaking to just about every part of Bon Temps it seems, much to the distress of Alcide (Joe Manganiello). Eric decides he doesn’t want his memory back if the price is losing Sookie’s love.
Tara’s (Rutina Wesley) life is saved by TMZ – sort of. Sam (Sam Trammell) uncovers his brother’s deception.Jessica (Deborah Ann Wolf) realizes the sad truth about her relationship with Hoyt (Jim Parrack), who has no idea his best friend Jason (Ryan Kwanten) is also lusting for the red-headed vampire.
Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) begins to learn just how powerful he is. Could he be key to fighting Marnie? Trouble is, she makes a great case for wanting to rid the world of vampires, one even Bill acknowledges.
At hour’s end, one familiar vamp cannot resist the siren call to daylight …
