Come nasce un ritratto. . .quando i tuoi occhi non bastano!

La proiezione che abbiamo di noi stessi è ben diversa da quella di chi ci osserva, ed ancora differente da chi ci guarda tutti i giorni. Per chi come me, è abituato a stare dietro ad un obbiettivo fotografico, sa bene che stare davanti ad esso, è un altro paio di maniche. L’idea del ritratto che abbiamo di noi stessi non è verosimile, se non a noi stessi. Ma, viceversa, un ritratto sarà una rappresentazione reale di noi stessi, se a farcelo sarà una persona che osservi le cose nello stesso nostro modo, ad esempio. Se poi a farlo sarà un’amica, vera e sincera, il ritratto sarà ugualmente reale e sincero. Ricordo bene, un certo professore all’università, e le sue parole: “Le foto sono fatte dalle persone, non dalle macchine. . . ” Questa frase dice tutto. . .

Ci tenevo a dare un taglio un po piú intimistico, ad un post che voleva raccontarvi inizialmente di come nasce un gioiello.

Volevo raccontarvi di una famiglia, che predilige ancora l’artigianalità e l’handmade, limitando i processi industriali, per realizzare dei monili di grande bellezza.
Acquistai questo bracciale un paio di anni fa’, ne fui conquistata per il tipo di laccatura e per il color blu lapis che lo caratterizza e tanto mi ricordava i mosaici di Ravenna.
Mi piace parlare di gioielli, sono convinta che, come i ritratti fotografici, anche loro raccontino qualcosa di chi li indossa.
Nell’antichità, ed ancora oggi in alcune culture, l’aspetto magico ed alchemico è spesso associato ai gioielli . .io credo che sia il valore aggiunto che vogliamo assegnarli, anche indirettamente, e quel valore ce lo portiamo dietro per sempre, ogni volta che li indossiamo.

I wanted to tell you about a family, who still prefers the craftsmanship and handmade, limiting industrial processes, to create jewellery of great beauty.I bought this bracelet a couple of years ago. I was fascinated by the type of lacquer and the blue lapis colour that characterized it so much and that reminded me of the mosaics of Ravenna.I love to talk about jewellery, I am convinced that, like the photographic portraits, they also tell something of the wearer.In ancient times, and in some cultures still today, magic and alchemy is often associated with jewellery. I think that’s the added value we want to assign them, directly or indirectly, and that we bring such value with us every time we wear them.
