Cresce la presenza dei tifosi nell'azionariato del Rangers FC

Nelle ultime settimane i due collettivi di tifosi del Rangers FC, il Rangers Supporters Trust e Rangers First, entità distinte che perseguono la medesima finalità del coinvolgimento attivo dei tifosi nelle sorti del club, hanno rafforzato la loro presenza nella società scozzese oltrepassando il 3% complessivo.
Il Rangers Supporters Trust(RST), forma classica di Supporters' Trust, con l'ultimo acquisto di 125.000 azioni, e grazie alla donazione da parte di un tifoso facoltoso che ha conferito altre 150.000 azionie in cambio ha ricevuto l'adesione a vita all'associazione di tifosi, raggiunge l'1,56%(1.2759.009 azioni).
A Trust spokesman said: “Further share donation forms are being received daily, as are hundreds of proxy forms for the upcoming general meeting.
“We would like to thank the fans for supporting the RST in their thousands - together we can ensure this general meeting is a success.”
Il gruppo Rangers First, che persegue la finalità della fansowneshipcon forma diversa, che prevede una contribuzione periodica mensile(simile allo schema utilizzato dalla Foundation of Hearts per finanziare la propria organizzazione) ha raggiunto l'1,7% del capitale del club e oltrepassato gli 8.100 membri aderenti, che hanno reso il collettivo di tifosi il più numeroso della Scozia ad avere quote in un club professionistico.

"The timing is perfect because perhaps for the first time in the club's history Rangers fans will have a voice at corporate level by voting at the forthcoming General Meeting.
"It is crucial for all supporter shareholders to follow the voting guidelines, register and vote correctly or proxy their shares."
Le due organizzazione sono alleate, al fianco del consorzio di imprenditori George Taylor, Douglas Park e George Letham, soprannominato ''Three Bears''(qui dettagli), nella lotta di potere(qui dettagli) in scena nel Rangers FC con il tentativo osteggiato, da gran parte della tifoseria(qui la contestazione/VIDEO), di Mike Ashley, azionista di riferimento del Newcastle United FC e proprietario della catena Sports Direct, di assumere il controllo completo della società.
