Critics’ Choice Awards 2016, le Nomination

Sono state annunciate nei giorni scorsi le Nomination dei 21° Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, i premi assegnati annualmente dalla Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), formata da circa 250 critici cinematografici appartenenti alle principali testate giornalistiche statunitensi. Un evento molto importante che si inserisce nella Awards Season e darà molti elementi di riflessione in vista degli Oscar 2016, così come avranno fatto i Golden Globes di qualche giorno prima.
Naturalmente occorre leggere tra le righe la lista delle Nomination per cercare di capire chi otterrà il maggior numero di riconoscimenti ma parte in nettissimo vantaggio “Mad Max: Fury Road” di George Miller, che ha ricevuto 13 candidature, tra cui Miglior Film, Miglior Regia, Migliore Attrice protagonista (Charlize Theron, candidata anche come Miglior attrice in un film d’azione), Miglior attore in un film d’azione (Tom Hardy, candidato anche come Miglior attore non protagonista in “The Revenant”), Miglior Montaggio, Fotografia, Scenografia… insomma, è già un successo per un ottimo film, che ha rilanciato la saga anni ’70-’80  ed è, anche a mio parere, tra i migliori film dell’anno. Stupisce e non poco l’attenzione così grande per un action movie, ma c’è da dire, nello specifico, che i Critics’ hanno numerose categorie di premi dedicati proprio ai film d’azione. In ogni caso c’è spazio per moltissimi altri titoli. Ottengono infatti 8 Nomination “Carol”, “The Martian” e “The Revenant”, candidati anche come Miglior Film insieme a “The Big Short”, “Bridge of Spies”, “Brooklyn”, “Room”, “Sicario” e “Spotlight”. Tra gli attori candidati ritroviamo anche Leonardo Di Caprio, Michael Fassbender, Matt Damon, Bryan Cranston e Johnny Depp, mentre tra le attrici Jennifer Lawrence ha ricevuto tre candidature delle quali due per “Joy” e una per “Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2”. Tra gli action movie da evidenziare anche le Nomination per Tom Cruise e Rebecca Ferguson per “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation”, Emily Blunt per “Sicario” e Daniel Craig per “SPECTRE”, mentre vorrei evidenziare con piacere la candidatura per Robert De Niro come Miglior Attore in una commedia per il bellissimo “The Intern” di Nancy Meyers – un film di cui presto tornerò a parlarvi sul Blog – così come la Nomination di Ennio Morricone per la soundtrack di “The Hateful Eight”.

Andiamo dunque a riepilogare tutte le candidature cinematografiche dei 21° Critics’ Choice Awards, con la cerimonia che si terrà al Barker Hangar di Santa Monica, California, il prossimo 17 Gennaio 2016.
