David Jaffe ama alla follia PlayStation VR

David Jaffe, personalità del settore nota per aver dato alla luce God of War, ora al lavoro su Drawn to Death, è recentemente rimasto estasiato dal visore per la realtà virtuale di Sony: PlayStation VR.

Lo sviluppatore si è innamorato del dispositivo grazie al titolo, London Heist, che lo ha portato a riflettere sulle capacità della periferica. Secondo Jaffe, la realtà virtuale non si presta molto ai giochi in cui l'utente è immerso nel titolo (ad esempio grazie al grande tasso di sfida offerto da un puzzle) ma è perfetta per i titoli più guidati, in cui non ci sono grandi possibilità di errore ed in cui la narrativa la fà da padrona.

David Jaffe ha già trovato il titolo che lo ha convinto a comprare un casco per la realtà virtuale; voi avete già scovato il vostro?

trying to solve a puzzle/quest/reach a goal is already so engaging that the presentation does not matter. BUT VR experiences (cont)

such as the 2 London Hesit demos at PSX that don't really challenge you but instead lead you down a path with very few fails really make

it clear that VR is the FUTURE of storytelling, travel, immersion, and connection. I'm such a fan and so excited to work on a VR game!:)
