Delphine Manivet, Creatività Chic

La designer che YOUR FASHION CHIC vuole presentarvi oggi è una creatrice di abiti da sposa, e abiti serali assolutamente eccezionali, è francese e ancora oggi lavora nella bella Francia, ma è famosa in tutto il mondo, lei è Delphine Manivet.

Delphine Manivet è una designer che vuole condividere la sua visione personale di Sposa Moderna: la donna a cui si ispira la stilista è una donna che non si sposa necessariamente a 20 anni, ma che ama la moda e prende in considerazione il suo matrimonio come una continuità e non come l’inizio di qualcosa. E’ una donna che cerca un abito connesso al suo stile giornaliero, vuole essere se stessa ma “più bella”. E Delphine Manivet ama questo più di ogni altra cosa: vuole rendere e far sentire le donne ancora più belle, mentre rimangono se stesse e fedeli alla loro identità.

La boutique di Delphine Manivet è situata nella Paris trendy, in rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore, una strada molto conosciuta per i suoi riferimenti Haute Couture. Il suo Atelier, dove ogni pezzo di collezione è stato realizzato a mano, è ad un passo da Place de La Concorde. Dopo avere studiato presso l’Istituto prestigioso “Institut Supérieur de la Mode ” a Parigi, Delphine Manivet ha lavorato presso alcune delle case di moda più altolocate di Parigi, come Rochas. Delphine ha inizato a lavorare alla creazione di abiti da sposa dopo aver cercato il suo abito da sposa, alla fine ha disegnato lei stessa il suo stesso abito. Le sue collezioni rappresentano una moda senza tempo, disegnati da ispirazioni dal passato (dagli anni ’30 agli anni ’70) e reinterpretati costantemente in base  ciò che vede, sente o si sente, e ciò che lei pensa che la gente vorrebbe indossare in un futuro. Queste sono le sue ispirazioni e questo è il suo regalo della moda.

Molti descrivono lo stile di Delphine Manivet come un nuovo approccio agli abiti da sposa. Parole che spesso ritornano come: romantico, elegante,bello, bellissimo, chic boheme in un tocco rivisitato in chiave contemporanea che scuote le tradizioni, e parla di tante donne. Il design delle collezioni è creato interamente da Delphine Manivet. Lei rappresenta il volto e lo spirito del brand, lei mantiene la coerenza  dello stile e l’immagine del brand. Delphine è particolarmente attenta alla scelta dei tessuti, il punto di inizio di molte sue creazoni. La designer ha conciliato il desiderio di realizzare abiti di moda mentre utilzza i metodi tradizionali dell’Haute Couture e l’alta qualità dei tessuti, accquistati eslusivamente in Francia e in Italia. Gli Ateliers reiventano costantemente  le sete, il pizzo, il cotone, il tulle di cotone ricamato… La tradizione si rivolge alla moda, confermando uno stile chic e fresco. La maison Delphine Manivet oggi offre una vasta gamma di abiti da sera, brunch e abiti per damigelle. Molti abiti rappresentano più uno stile che un trend, una vera ricerca di un’eleganza senza tempo. La stilista crede molto nel desiderio della donna di aver un’eleganza, che era molto diffusa negli anni ’50, sperando così di far rivivere questo gusto per la femminilità a cui lei stessa aspira.  Gli abiti presentano silohuettes snelle, autenticità, con un sottile gioco di trasparenze, lunghezze e tessuti, gli abiti sono naturali e istintivamente sensuali. Il piacere della designer, e ciò che contribuisce notevolmente al suo talento, sta nella sua la sua capacità di trarre da storie passate significati inalterabili, reinventando e traducendo il tutto nei suoi abiti moderni, che Delphine Manivet crea per e donne di oggi.

 “ Per molto tempo, ho pensato di creare una collezione di abiti e accessori, da indossare il giorno prima, o dopo il grande giorno. Dalla mia esperienza , so che è bello sentirsi sposa il giorno prima, indossando l’abito bianco,è un modo per dire: Mi Sposo!”

 Poi ci sono dei momenti che ti fanno sentire sposa più a lungo, come il brunch, il giorno dopo la grande festa con gli amici, la luna di miele, in cui ci immaginiamo di indossare un costume bianco, una gonna di pizzo lungo, con il sole che ci bacia i capelli, con un fiore…

Delphine Manivet is a designer who want to share her vision of the modern bride : a woman who does not necessarily get  married at 20, who loves fashion and consider her wedding as a continuity and not as a beginning of something. Delphine started working on wedding dresses after having looked for her own wedding dress, which she ended up designing herself. Her collections are representative of a timeless fashion, drawn from past inspirations (30′s to 70′s) and constantly reinterpreted regarding what she sees, hears or feels and what she thinks people would like to wear in the future… That’s her present of fashion. Many describe it as a fresh approach to bridal wear. Words that often come back are romanic, elegant, lovely, beautiful, boheme chic but in a contemporary revisited twist that shakes up traditions…. and speaks to so many women. The design of the collections is entirely done by Delphine Manivet. She is the face and the spirit of the brand. She maintains the coherence of the style and the brand image.  She is particularly attentive to the fabrics, the starting point of any creation. She reconciled the desire to make fashionable dresses while using traditional Haute Couture methods and very high quality fabrics, exclusively bought in France and in Italy. 
The ateliers constantly reinvent the light weight silks, the lace, the cotton, the embroidered cotton tulles, the quick hands model, shape, and bring to life the drawings of Delphine.
An then the tradition caters to fashion, confirming a style both chic and fresh.
The respect of French couture is here, for sure.  Maison Delphine Manivet offers today a range of evening, brunch and bridesmaids gowns. Some very fashionable pieces that are more about style than a trend, a quest for a timeless elegance. She believes firmly in a woman’s desire for elegance that was so prevalent in the ’50s, and hopes to revive this taste for femininity that she herself aspires to. This had led her to design some gowns based on what she or her friends would enjoy wearing to an evening event. The recipe is the same : airiness, authenticity and streamlined silhouettes. With their subtle play of transparencies, lengths and fabrics, the dresses are natural and instinctively sensual.  The designer’s genuine pleasure, and what greatly contributes to her talent, is this ability to make these bygone stories her own, to understand their universal, unalterable meaning and to reinvent and translate them into modern dresses (wedding or party) for today’s women. 

“For a long time, I have been thinking of creating a collection of dresses and accessories, to wear the day before, or after the big day, as a way to make the moment last. From my own experience, I know that it is lovely to be the bride way before that day, by wearing white, as a way of saying, I am getting married. “

An then there are those moments that make you the bride a little longer, like the brunch, the day after party with friends, and the honeymoon, where we imagine ourselves in a white swimsuit, a long lace skirt, sun-kissed hair, with a flower…
