Discovering Italian design. Alla scoperta del design italiano. Ettore Sottsass

Il settore del design è sempre decisamente affascinate. Non sono un'esperta ma ho incominciato ad esplorare quello italiano perchè ogni volta rimango ammirata da questi oggetti unici in estetica e in genialità.

Ragazzi ho scoperto un mondo e se vi va volevo condividerlo con voi....non tutto in un post magari in più volte.
Ecco un grande designer: Ettore Sottsass.
Nacque ad Insbruck ma fu architetto  designer del panorama Italiano. Ha vinto un gran numero di premi e fece parte del movimento di arte concreta ( il movimento a cui appartennero altro artisti come Bozzola). Studiò macchine da scrivere per l'Olivetti, numerosi mobili per la Memphis e oggetti dal fascino unico.
Dagli anni Quaranta passava le sue giornate nello studio del pittore Luigi Spazzapan. Questa esperienza divenne la base dei suoi lavori degli anni Cinquanta in dipinti, arazzi e opere da lui realizzate. Essendo un sperimentatore si avvicinò alla ceramica: fece esperimenti presso  la Manifattura  ceramica Bitossi  a Montelupo Fiorentino dove volle usare un metodo  di produzione della ceramica che era usato nel rinascimento. La sua passione? Realizzare vasi soprattutto non ispirati alla tradizione quanto alla storia, proprio per il metodo usato.

Design sector  is always very fascinating. I'm no skilled in it  but I have begun to explore the Italian design  and its history.  Every time I 'm amazed by these unique genial and beautiful items. Design sector was a real eye-opener for me and I would like to share it with you .... just some little discoveries in this huge field. 
Here' a great designer, Ettore Sottsass.

He was born in Insbruck but he was one famous Italian architect designer. He has won many awards and he was member of the Concrete Art movement (like Bozzola). He designed many charming typewriters for Olivetti and many beautiful furniture items from Memphis . During the forties  he  had spent his days in Luigi Spazzapan's studio- an Italian painter . This experience was important  for his art work in the Fifties. Being an experimenter he approached ceramic. He did his experiments  ​​at the Manufacture ceramic Bitossi at Montelupo Fiorentino. Here he used a procedure  of the Renaissance . His passion? Especially vases  inspired  more by  history than traditions- as far as concerning the procedure of making them. Here are some examples of the vases. I do not know about you but I'd be so happy to have jus one of them in my living room!
