Do you read the bugiardino?

Do you know the information pamphlet for medication with a text written very small (practically only for people with super powers like Superman or Wonder Woman )? In Italy it is called bugiardino .  If you translate the word  you have bugiardo = liar + ino - a diminutive suffix . So what? This piece of paper is a little liar? In  the past the bugiardino was the leaflet displayed outside the kiosks in Tuscany , in the area of Siena. So it could be " the little leaflet of the medicinal product ." Obviously it is only a hypothesis . Another hypothesis links  the bugiardino with  the language spoken by the doctors. Before the restrictive laws, some important  information about the contraindications were omitted on this pamphlet, in favor of pharmaceutical company . So maybe this is the reason because it is called “little liar”. The most used term is " foglietto illustrativo " but if some one called it bugiardino, now you know what it means.
So it is a text that  hides something ... way to go ! Avete presente il foglietto scritto in corpo 5 ( praticamente solo per persone dotate di superpoteri come Wonder woman  o superman ) che viene inserito nei medicinali? In Italia si chiama bugiardino. Il bugiardo è la persona che dice bugie e il suffisso ino è un diminutivo. Quindi? Che sia un foglietto che racconta bugie? Se andiamo nel passato , in Toscana, nella zona di Siena il bugiardo era la locandina esposta fuori dalle edicole, quindi il bugiardino potrebbe essere “la locandina in piccolo del prodotto medicinale” . Ovviamente è solo un’ipotesi. Un’altra ipotesi potrebbe essere che deriva dall’ambito medico in quanto inizialmente, prima delle leggi restrittive in materia, il bugiardino ometteva delle informazioni importanti sulle controindicazioni, a favore delle case farmaceutiche.  Forse per questo ha questa nomea. Il termine più usato è “foglietti illustrativo” ma se vi capita di sentire bugiardino adesso vi risulterà familiare. L’idea quindi è quella di un testo che in maniera velata nasconda qualche cosa…andiamo bene!
