Donne che dipingono Donne – Women in Body painting

Un preconcetto comune potrebbe far pensare che la maggior parte degli artisti impegnati nell’arte del body painting siano uomini, visto il contatto ravvicinato con la nudità femminile.

I fatti dimostrano il contrario!!!

Per quanto riguarda le donne presenti al festival italiano di body painting 2010: su 14 iscritti solo 3 sono uomini.

Andando a controllare negli anni precedenti notiamo che i vincitori delle prime cinque  edizioni dell’Italian Body painting festival sono quasi tutte donne ( 4 su 5):
2006 Flavio Bosco 2007 Elena Tagliapietra 2008 Fiorella Scatena 2009 Eva Mora (spagnola) 2010 Angelica Signoretto

La direzione artistica del festival è affidata a 2 donne e un uomo: Elena Tagliapietra, Fiorella Scatena e Flavio Bosco.
Per pareggiare la sicura presenza di modelle quasi esclusivamente donne in qust’ultima edizione si è pensato di dipingere un modello (maschio) che ha fatto immagine e si è reso disponibile per  foto con il pubblico durante il pomeriggio; l’hang player Paolo Borghi è stato dipinto sul busto con colori metallici; il dj Erik F. ha indossato un face painting.

La maggior parte dei painter dipinge modelle femmine sia per motivi tecnici (pelle liscia, assenza di peli, ecc.), sia per motivi artistici. Nel caso, per fini artistici , sia necessario un modello maschio,  nessun painter, che si tratti di uomo o donna, si pone il problema: l’importante è l’opera che si vuole realizzare. Le modelle migliori hanno in genere poco seno, un fisico ben proporzionato e longilineo, un volto gradevole e un portamento elegante.
Per rispetto delle modelle e del pudore di eventuali ‘ben pensanti’ tra gli spettatori, le modelle verranno dipinte mostrando la schiena al pubblico fino a quando non saranno coperte di colore sulla zona del seno.

Ovviamente il fatto che una donna dipinga una donna elimina o quasi il preconcetto che il painter dipinga per secondi scopi, poco professionali. Anche le modelle in genere sono più a loro agio se dipinte da una donna. Resta il fatto che se un painter uomo è un professionista serio, la modella lo capisce subito, e si trova perfettamente a suo agio anche con lui.

Parlare delle donne body painter  puo’ essere molto utile per la crescita dell’arte del body painting in Italia, ancora frenata purtroppo da molti blocchi ‘religiosi’ e ‘morali’ che per quest’arte non dovrebbero più esserci.

A common misconception might suggest that most of the artists involved in the art of body painting .. are men,  maybe because of the close contact with the female nude.

The facts show the contrary!

As for the women present at the festival of body painting 2010: only 3 out of 14 members are men.

Going to check in earlier years, we see that the winners of the first five editions of the‘Italian Body Painting Festival are almost all women (4 out of 5):

The artistic direction of the festival is headed by two women and one man: Elena Tagliapietra, Fiorella Scatena and Flavio Bosco.

To equalize the presence of male and female model during the fifth edition of the Italian body painting festival 2010,  it was decided to paint a model (male) that will become available for photos with the public during the afternoon; the hang player Paolo Borghi was painted on the bust with metallic colors; DJ Erik F. wore a face painting.

Most of the body painter paints female models for both technical reasons (smooth, no hairs, etc..) And for artistic reasons. If, for artistic purposes, need a male model, no painter, be it man or woman, the question arises: what is important is the work that you want to accomplish. The best female models generally have little breast, a well proportioned and slender body, a pretty face and elegant bearing.
Compared to the models and the modesty of any ‘right-thinking’ in the audience, the models will be painted back to showing the public until they are covered with color on the breast area.

Obviously the fact that a woman picture woman or nearly eliminates the bias that the painter picture for seconds purposes, not professional. Even the models are usually more comfortable if painted by a woman. The fact remains that if a man is a serious professional painter, the models understands that, and is perfectly at ease with him.

Speaking of women body painter can ‘be very helpful for the growth of the art of body painting in Italy, unfortunately, still hampered by many blocks’ religious’ and’ moral ‘that this art should no longer be there.
