Fatigue. High fever. Small budget. Disorientation. Uncertainty.
This was the feelings and conditions of our arrival in London and our new adventure. With its huge size, the British capital almost scared us. We really do not know where to start and how we would adapt.

At the end of July of 2010 summer was not just like we have used in Spain and Italy. Also in this period were the rare days of heat and we often had to wear some jacket for cold ...
But we took all our strength and we will adapt on everything.

We arrived at 4 am in the Bayswater area, after a long night's journey and heartbreaks. We were in search of our first economic hostel to spend the night (with our huge suitcases, of course XD).
Finally we arrived at our lodging, and a mixture of feelings filled our hearts and, alone in the London night, our brains were in full action to try every solution quickly and effectively to achieve our objectives: looking for a job and home.
We knew it was not easy and that the time huddled ...
It is not easy to look for a job as a stranger and especially in times of crisis. Fortunately, London is a very touristy city, so our hopes were based in seeking a job in the catering business. So we began to send cv to the right and left, especially in the city, also hoping to find a room in which to live. And since already after a few days our monetary deposits were very scarce, we change almost every night to search for a hostel with lowest bid.
During this first week of searching we thought to call our friend Antimo, former partner of the restaurant High Rocks in Tunbridge Wells, who a few months earlier he had chosen to live in the capital, and then found a job in a popular downtown restaurant.
With a little luck for Stefano, Antimo offered the chance to do an interview with his manager ... and that's it! Stefano managed to find work as a waiter!
In the meantime we began to explore London. It 's really great, we did not know where to start. But as a good 'tourist' do, we started from the most central and best known places, like Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Parliament, the London Eye, Hyde Park, Oxford Street, etc.. Everything beautiful and new, and new emotions peeking ... Questions like: 'But we would be able to live here?', 'We'll all right?' Were the most frequent questions.

In 'Hyde Park and we spent many times together in that period. Really a great place to relax, concentrate and put together our forces to put ourselves in the capital and live alone in this great salad of people and cultures. In this park also we began to become familiar with the many squirrels and ducks, undisputed masters of the area xd.

However, we still did not have the money for rent a room and, while we were in Victoria Park trying to catch a glimpse of famous bands (Black Label Society and similar big) in a metal festival, we had the idea to call another of our ex- fellow worker, Antonio, for some useful information. The Catalan in that tim lived with other boys in Noting Hill, in a squat, and very lightly offered us to stay a little bit with him and thus save some money. We agreed, a little hesitantly, a little imagining the kind of people you could meet in those places ... we crossed the fingers and we found ourselves quite well, with water, electricity and mattress included! And people were also friendly and hospitable.
Olga later also found work after a long search, and just happened near the place of work of Stefano and Antimo, in Kensington, close to Harrods, the most famous shopping center of London.

Now the priority was to find a house. But it was not all that easy ... The details in the second part of L.nd.n!
