Faraone Mennella Muses dinner party

5th Avenue terrazza Rockfeller. Questa la location scelta per celebrare i 10 anni di attività di R.F.M.A.S., sigla che risponde al nome dei due gioiellieri italiani Roberto Faraone Mennella e Amedeo Scognamiglio. In mostra gli scatti di Lorenzo Bringheli che ritrae le “Muse”, le donne che hanno ispirato la collezione di alta gioielleria. Le Muse ritratte sono: Giovanna Battaglia, Linda Fargo, Patricia Field, Olivia Chantecaille, Ann Caruso,Kimberly Jones, Nina Griscom, Carol Alt e Pamela Fiori. Un evento da non perdere e noi non potevamo non esserci!

5th Avenue, Rockfeller terrace. This is the location that has been chosen to  celebrate the 10 years anniversary of R.F.M.A.S., acronym of the names  of the two Italian jewellery designers Roberto Faraone Mennella and Amedeo Scognamiglio.  The portrays of the “Muses”, women who have inspired the jewellery collections, shoot by the photographer Lorenzo Bringheli were presented during the event. The muses portrayed were: Giovanna Battaglia, Linda Fargo, Patricia Field, Olivia Chantecaille, Ann Caruso, Kimberly Jones, Nina Griscom, Carol Alt, and Pamela Fiori. Nine women, one for each year of the brand, while the tenth year was inspired by New York itself, as the designers said.
An event impossible to miss and so we were there!

Gioielli creati seguendo i metodi della storica arte orafa italiane nello specifico campana, perché i nostri designer sono originari di Torre del Greco, famosa al mondo per le lavorazioni del corallo e dei cammei. Una storia ed una passione quella di Roberto ed Amedeo che in 10 anni ha fatto centro al cuore dell’America, tanto da poter essere definiti i gioiellieri delle star di Hollywood. Solo a titolo di esempio possiamo dirvi che hanno scelto i gioielli R.F.M.A.S. Patricia Field, costumista di pellicole e serie televisive come Sex and city, stiliste del calibro di Carolina Herrera per le passerelle e per sé, Tara Rockefeller, Mariah Carey. Chi non ricorda i grandi orecchini di Samantha nel lungometraggio tratto dalla stessa serie, la collana a bolle Tuca-Tuca indossata da Sarah Jessica Parker nei panni di Carrie, io narrante di Sex and the city; i bracciali e le spille di Miranda Priestley nel Diavolo veste Prada e quelli della bella BrookShields di Lipstick Jungle.

Jewellery created following the methods of the ancient Italian goldsmith’s art. Specifically, the Neapolitan art since the two designers come from Torre del Greco, ("Tower of the Greek") a city in the Province of Naples in Italy. This city is famous for the presence of coral in the nearby sea and it has a tradition of being a major producer of coral jewellery and cameo brooches since the seventeenth century. For Roberto and Amedeo this is a story of passion for jewellery. In 10 years their jewellery got into the heart of America, becoming the choice of stars in Hollywood. R.F.M.A.S. jewellery is used by Patricia Field, the New York stylist from Sex and the City and The Devil Wears Prada, it is also used by the designer Carolina Herrera for the runways and for herself, Tara Rockefeller and Mariah Carey among others. And who doesn't remember the bubble Tuca-Tuca necklace wore by Sarah Jessica Parker, as the main protagonist Carrie, in Sex and the City? Not to mention the bracelets and the brooches wore by Miranda Priestley in the movie The Devil Wears Prada and those wore by the gorgeous Brook Shields in Lipstick Jungle.

Tutti questi gioielli parlano italiano, e noi siamo veramente orgogliosi del successo ottenuto da Roberto ed Amedeo. Come succede spesso italiani celebri all’estero ma quasi sconosciuti in terra natia. Pensate solo al fatto che i loro preziosi lavori si possono trovare nel famosissimo store BergdorfGoodman di New York e da Lane Crawford di Londra. Ma siamo certi che Roberto ed Amedeo avranno a breve una vera e propria consacrazione nel nostro paese, anche perché i loro gioielli sono prodotti in Italia, e nello specifico in Toscana.

All these jewels come from the Italian craftsmanship tradition, and Roberto and Amedeo's work contributes to keep the Made in Italy a  renowned trademark, making their country proud of their international success. However, as sometimes happens, Italians who are famous in foreign countries, they are not known in their own country. These two designers have their jewellery sold in prime stores around the world, such as in the Bergdorf Goodman store in New York e in Lane Crawford in London. Certainly Roberto and Amedeo's jewels will soon take over also Italians' hearts, even more so because they are produced in Italy, in the beautiful  and sunny Tuscany.

Ma ritorniamo al party.  All’ingresso proiezione di una loro video intervista, musica e party made in Italy. Prosciutto crudo, parmigiano reggiano, risotto ai funghi, champagne e…tanto divertimento. Un parterre internazionale e davvero glamour come doveroso tributo per festeggiare questi primi 10 anni. Segnaliamo la presenza di: Pamela Fiori, Olivia Chantecaille, TinsleyMortimer, Kimberly Skeen Jones. Siamo certi che Roberto ed Amedeo continueranno a stupirci con le loro creazioni artigianali. But let's go back to the party. In the entrance there was a projection of a video interview of the designers,  while the photographic exhibition was held in the main room, surrounded by some of the most famous Italian songs. A real Made in Italy atmosphere was in place: Italian prosciutto, parmesan cheese, risotto with mushrooms, champagne and… lots of fun! International guests together with the glamorous scene as a tribute to celebrate the first 10 years of R.F.M.A.S. Roberto and Amedeo will continue to surprise us with their creations. And if for many women these jewels will remain a dream....it will always be a dream of beauty.
