Fashion paper bag

Noted German designer Jil Sander opened his Autumn/Winter 2012 collection with this special accessory, currently sold out, but that retailed for $290 dollars. What is it made of, you might ask? Because it does look remarkably like a paper bag...

The answer is, it is a paper bag. It does feature some excellent stitching, and it is much cheaper than the black leather equivalent, but yes, it's a paper bag.

This is not exactly a surprise, considering that just last summer he featured another bag, this time made of plastic, that resembled, and actually was, a shopping bag.

Personally, I love the shopping bag idea, it has a lot of personality behind it,  and it's great as a summer accessory. But paper? I think it crosses a line. What do you guys thing?S.

Il famoso stilista tedesco Jil Sander ha inaugurato la sua collezione Autunno/Inverno 2012 con un accessorio un po' particolare, venduto per la bella somma di $290 dollari, che al momento non e' piu' disponibile. A giudicare dalla fotografia, non indovinereste mai di che cosa e' fatto, sembrerebbe proprio una busta di carta...
E la risposta e' che e' esattamente una busta di carta. E' stata cucita, ed e' molto meno costosa dell'equivalente in pelle nera, ma si', e' esattamente una busta di carta.
Questa trovata non e' esattamente sorprendente, considerando che gia' l'etate scorsa Jil Sander ha mandato in passerella questa pratica borsa dello shopping, che sembra essere fatta di plastica, e come sempre, le apparenze non ingannano. Anche questa iniziative e' andata a ruba.
Personalmente, sono stata piacevolmente sorpresa dall'idea della borsa shopping, soprattutto considerando il fatto che e' stata lanciata per l'estate, e che c'e' un piccolo tocco di design. Ma la busta di carta? Mi sembra un'idea un po' pigra. E voi che ne pensate?
