Fold forming week: Charles Lewton-Brain

"(...) I'm really interested in nature. And I think that chaos and nature, and sometimes random acts, they are more beautiful than what happens if I force form onto the material. And I think that all humans respond to nature, I think that all humans think nature is beautiful even if they grew up in the city. And with fold forming... many of the shapes in fold forming look like natural shapes for the same reasons the ones in nature do: the material is operating right on the limits of its working abilities and therefore the rules show up, and if it looks like a ram's horn or a flower it's because that's exactly what's happening in nature (...)"
