Greenland rolling with Maligiaq and Dubside

Li abbiamo ordinati qualche tempo fa e sono arrivati da un paio di settimane, dopo aver compiuto il giro del mondo. Abbiamo scartato il pacco postale con una certa emozione perché sotto la grafia di Maligiaq c'era il bollo della città di partenza: Anchorage, Alaska!
La sera stessa eravamo seduti in poltrona a gustarci l'alta scuola di Greenland Roll: a dire il vero, in poltrona abbiamo resistito pochissimo, perché trascinati dai movimenti di Maligiaq e Dubside abbiamo subito spostato qualche pezzo dell'arredamento e cercato di imitarli a secco, rotolando sul tappeto...
Quante cose nuove, quanti particolari, quanti trucchi si scoprono guardando il video!
Molto ben fatto, dalla struttura semplice ed efficace, i due DVD ripropongono ogni singola manovra da ben tre diverse angolazioni: laterale, aerea e subacque. L'obiettivo è quello di salvaguardare, tramandare e promuovere la cultura canoistica Inuit per le generazioni future. In oltre 2 ore e mezza vengono eseguiti e spiegati (e mostrati una seconda volta in silenzio) tutti i 35 diversi tipi di eskimo groenlandese selezionati dalla associazione Qaannat Kattuffiat per l'annuale Greenland National Qajaq Championship, che quest'anno si terrà a Paamiut dal 5 all'11 luglio 2012...

We've shaped them some months ago and they've went aroung the world and finally arrived a couple a week ago. Big emotion: on the postal package, under the Maligiaq handwriting, there was the stamp of the city, Anchorage - Alaska!
In the same evening, we were seated in the sofa to watch the double DVDs: to say the truth, we could not remain sit on the sofa all the time, because we immediately wanted to imitate the two great coaches, Maligiaq and Dubside... so we have moved part of the home furniture to be able to realize some dry rolls, well, just try to do that!

The two DVDs are very well done and resume every single maneuver from three different camera angles: side, aerial and under water views! The goal is to preserve, perpetuate and promote the art and sport of Inuit paddling for generations to come. In more than two hours and half you can watch all the 35 different Greenland rolls selected by the Qaannat Kattuffiat for the annual Greenland National Qajaq Championship, this year in Paamiut from 5th to 11th of July 2012...
