"My name is Francesco Armino , I'm 33 years old, former pilot and once engineering student. Engines' enthusiast, I left the college to follow my passion and now it’s more than 10 years than I’m working in the field (...) .Fiftyfive garage is the brand that identifies my builds. 55 is a particular number for me since it was the competition number of a teammate and great friend of mine who tragically died. I inherited it, it has been my racing number until the birth of my first child, when I left the races...". This cafe racer, incredibly based on a 2000 Motoguzzi Nevada 750 has not been built upon commission. With her, Francesco, his brother and the team of Fiftyfive Garage celebrated the first year of life of their shop.
“Mi chiamo Francesco Armino, ho 33 anni, ex pilota ed ex studente di ingegneria col pallino dei motori, lasciai gli studi per seguire la mia passione e sono ormai più di 10 anni che lavoro nel settore (…) Fiftyfive garage è il marchio che identifica le mie creazioni. 55 è un numero al quale sono personalmente molto legato essendo il numero di gara di un compagno di squadra nonché grande amico tragicamente scomparso. Da me ereditato, è rimasto ad accompagnarmi fino a quando, dopo la nascita della mia prima figlia, abbandonai il mondo delle competizioni in moto…”. Questa cafe racer, basata, direi incredibilmente, su una Motoguzzi Nevada 750 del 2000, non è stata realizzata su specifiche di un cliente. Con lei, Francesco, suo fratello ed il team di Fiftyfive Garage, hanno celebrato il primo anno di vita del garage.
The bike, which rode only 30,000 km, has been first entirely revised. Mechanics and frame have been entirely revised before the customization. The tank is a Guzzi replica with snap cap, the custom tail is fiberglass and hosts a racing seat covered by genuine aged leather. The "anniversary" pearl white painting includes the holography of the 55 Garage logo visible against the light.. The engine breathes through straight carburetors, open trumpet filters and ducts alluminium billet. The new exhausts have matt black mufflers tapered with a 30° angle. The brakes work with braided lines. The fork has been shortened and the hydraulic system revised . The handlebar is a Tommaselli Condor while risers and the rearsets are billet aluminium. The bike is street legal.
La moto, con soli 30.000 km, è stata revisionata e ottimizzata di motore e ciclistica prima dell’allestimento. Il serbatoio è un Guzzi replica con tappo a scatto, il codone artigianale in vetroresina ospita una sella racing in autentica pelle invecchiata. La livrea “anniversario”, contempla la verniciatura bianco perla con richiami al logo 55 Garage visibili in controluce. Il motore respira con carburatori dritti, raccordi ricavati dal pieno e filtri a trombetta. I nuovi scarichi hanno terminali conici inclinati di 30° dark e bende termiche. I tubi freno sono di tipo aeronautico. L’idraulica della forcella è stata rivista e gli steli sfilati per abbassare l’avantreno. Il manubrio è un Tommaselli Condor, i riser sono ricavati dal pieno come le pedane arretrate. La moto è omologata per la circolazione stradale.
