Happy Birthday Pixar

In the post “Pixar...tra sogno e realtà”, I’ve talked about Pixar history and the touring exhibition to celebrate the 25^th year of Pixar. In these days, the exhibition is here in Milan until the 14^th of February 2012 and I suggest you to go visit it, because is really worth it! I saw the exhibition and I enjoyed it a lot!
Nel post “Pixar...tra sogno e realtà”, vi ho parlato della storia di Pixar e della mostra itinerante per celebrare i 25 anni di Pixar. In questi giorni la mostra è a Milano e lo sarà fino al 14 febbraio 2012. Io vi consiglio di andarci perché ne vale veramente la pena! Io l’ho vista e mi sono divertita un sacco!
Pixar is the story of a big success started 26 years ago exactly in this date, the 3^rd of February and today it is known as a story of dreams, ambitious projects and amazing results that everyone knows! But there is something in particular I’d like to talk about Pixar. It’s about the funny, curious and overexcited Luxo Junior.
La storia di Pixar è la storia di un grande successo, iniziato 26 anni fà esatti in questa data, il 3 febbraio appunto, ed oggi è conosciuta come una storia fatta di sogni, progetti ambiziosi e risultati eccellenti che tutti conosciamo! Ma c’è qualcosa in particolare di Pixar del quale mi piacerebbe parlare! Si tratta della lampada più divertente, curiosa ed esagitata che io conosca, Luxo Junior. It was with a simple and expressive computer-animated short film “Luxo Jr.” where everything started from and in those 2 minutes short film the future was just showed!
E’ stato con un cortometraggio di un’animazione-computerizza dal contenuto semplice ma molto espressivo ed emozionale che tutto ebbe inizio. Ed è proprio in quel contrometraggio di soli 2 minuti “Luxo Jr.” che ci venne mostrato il futuro! Luxo Jr Short Film - 1986 Pixar was able to demonstrate what kind of things creativity and computer-animation could make. For the short movie “Luxo Jr.”, Pixar received an Academy Award nomination for “Best Animated Short Film” and the Luxo Jr. lamp became the Pixar Logo taking over the “I” letter place in the name.
Pixar è stata capace di dimostrare le sorprendenti cose che era possibile fare dall’incontro di creatività ed animazione-computerizzata. Con il cortometraggio di “Luxo Jr.” Pixar ottenne agli Academy Award, la nomination come “Miglior cortometraggio animato” e la lampada Luxo Jr. divenne il Logo Pixar occupando il posto della lettera “I” nel nome.

Since 1986 many different versions of Luxo Jr. short film have been realized (official and parody short films) and this funny lamp experienced many different adventures and met many characters. Among those videos there is even Ones where Luxo Jr. was accused in murder of I letter...so sad! The video below is instead ones of my favorites, enjoy!
Dal 1986 in poi, sono state realizzate differenti versioni del cortometraggio di Luxo Jr. (ufficiali e amatoriali parodie) e questa divertente lampada ha vissuto tantissime avventure ed incontrato una miriadi di personaggi. Tra i tanti cortometraggi, c’è perfino uno in cui Luxo Jr. viene accusata di aver ucciso la lettera “I”...troppo triste! Il video sotto invece è uno dei miei preferiti, buona visione!
