Highway 12 Roadtrip Workshop

Sono tornato a casa.
Mi aspettano un paio di settimane molto impegnative, in attesa della mia partenza per gli Stai Uniti, il prossimo 27 maggio.
Badland, Black Hills, Yellowstone, New York e questo originalissimo workshop, che mi porterà, in veste di insegnante, da Minneapolis a Lily in South Dakota.

Un’opportunità unica per ampliare la vostra cultura fotografica. Creatività, ed ispirazione, saranno costantemente stimolate dagli altri fotografi e dall’immenso paesaggio centro-occidentale americano.

Partenza da Minneapolis all’alba. Ci saranno tante opportunità fotografiche lungo il percorso. Il viaggio sarà quasi interamente lungo la Route 12 - la cosiddetta Yellowsone Trail - una pittoresca strada a due corsie che attraversa molti piccoli villaggi e paesi di campagna.

Lily si trova a 250 miglia da Minneapolis, su un altopiano tra Aberdeen e Water Town, vicino al confine orientale del Sud Dakota col Minnesota. Lily è ormai una città fantasma, circondata da terreni agricoli e fattorie.
Lily, in questo momento, ha una popolazione di sole 4 persone. La città ha un piccolo museo con reperti del passato - proprio accanto al Lily Pad - due chiese perfettamente conservate, un ufficio postale, un municipio, un cimitero e diversi edifici abbandonati.

Sarà un workshop di grande sperimentazione. Dal 10 al 13 giugno 2010.

I’m back home.
I’ll have a very tough couple of weeks, until my departure for the States on May 27th.
Badland, Black Hills, Yellowstone, New York and this original workshop, which will take me, as a teacher, from Minneapolis to Lily, in South Dakota.

This unique opportunity provides encouragement, instruction, critique, and inspiration to bring out your own personal creative expression stimulated from fellow photographers and the wide-open mid-western countryside in the rain or shine.

Leave from Minneapolis in the early morning. Drive alone or we will help to arrange a car pool. There will be several photo opportunities along the way and a lunch stop. The drive is almost entirely on Highway 12, The Yellowsone Trail, a beautiful two-lane road that passes through many small towns and picturesque farmland.

Lily is located 250 miles from Minneapolis on a plateau between Aberdeen and Water Town near the eastern South Dakota border with Minnesota. Lily is now a ghost town of the past surrounded by farmland under a big sky.

Lily has a current population of only 4 people at this time. The town has a small museum with artifacts from the past right next door to the Lily Pad. The town also has two churches, preserved Post Office, a classic town hall, an American Legion Hall, grave yard and several abandoned buildings.

We encourage you to experiment on this workshop. From June 10th to June 13th 2010.
