Usually in front of my closet full of clothes/shoes/bags&Co. I find myself saying: "A closet full of clothes and nothing to wear!": so when the Suit of the City staff contacted me I did not lose time and I ran to them in Rome!As I told you, in fact, a few weeks ago I attended a very interesting project: the debute of the Suit of the City, the new web portal that offers the possibility to swap all those (quality!) clothes and accessories that are overflowing our closets, but lying there unused for too long.
Swapping, which means literally "to exchange, barter," was born in New York and in America and England is the latest trend in fashion. The system is doubly useful because it allows you to shop even when your credit card pleads for mercy, and to eliminate "wrong" pieces gaining something more suitable.(Like a good vegetarian-environmentalist-animal rights activist that I am, I espoused the cause of 100%: recycled shoes and bags is so... "eco-fashion "!!!).
Di solito davanti alla mia cabina armadio colma e stra-colma di abiti/scarpe/borse&Co. mi ritrovo piagnucolante a dire: "Un armadio pieno di vestiti e... niente da mettermi!": ecco perchè quando lo staff di Suit of the City mi ha contattata non ho perso tempo e... sono corsa a Roma da loro!Come vi avevo anticipato, infatti, qualche settimana fa ho preso parte ad un progetto particolarmente interessante: la nascita di Suit of the City, il nuovo portale web che offre la possibilità di swappare tutti quegli abiti e accessori (di qualità!) che straripano dai nostri armadi, ma che giacciono lì inutilizzati ormai da troppo tempo.
Lo swapping, che significa letteralmente “scambiare, barattare”, nasce a New York e rappresenta in America e in Inghilterra l’ultima tendenza in fatto di moda. Il sistema è doppiamente utile, perché consente di fare shopping anche quando la carta di credito implora pietà e di liberarsi di capi “sbagliati” guadagnando qualcosa di più adatto.
(Da brava vegetariana-animalista-ambientalista quale sono, ho sposato la causa al 100%: riciclare scarpe e borse è così... "eco-fashion"!!!).
