Una notte di musica in ricordo di Layne Staley (Alice in Chains ) e Kurt Cobain (Nirvana).
Per il quarto anno consecutivo l’Italia ospita il benefit – show in onore di Layne Staley, carismatico cantante degli Alice in Chains, tragicamente scomparso il 5 aprile 2002.

A night of music in memory of Layne Staley (Alice in Chains) and Kurt Cobain (Nirvana).
For the fourth consecutive year, Italy is hosting the benefit – show in honor of Layne Staley, the charismatic lead singer of Alice in Chains, who tragically died April 5, 2002.

A distanza di 20 anni esatti dal la scomparsa di Kurt Cobain, l’edizione del tribute di quest’anno renderà omaggio an che al frontman dei Nirvana, band che ha contribuito in modo significativo all’ascesa planetaria del movimento grunge.

Il LAYNE STALEY ITALIAN TRIBUTE 2014 si terrà sabato 5 Aprile al 75 BEAT di Milano , via Privata Tirso 3 (traversa di Via Ripamonti) . Inizio concerti ore 21 .

L’evento è sostenuto dalle due maggiori comunità di fans italiane: Alice in Chains Italia e NirvanaItalia. È inoltre organizzato con il patrocinio di : – LAYNE-STALEY.COM (sito ufficiale , Seattle) (www.layne – staley.com) – THERAPEUTIC HEALTH SERVICES (Seattle) (www.ths – wa.org) .  La manifestazione è ufficialmente riconosciuto da Nancy McCallum, madre di Layne Staley e fondatrice del Layne Staley Memorial Fund presso il Therapeutic Health Services di Seattle .Tutti i proventi della serata vengono devoluti alla fondazione, che si occupa di attività di prevenzione e recupero dall’uso di sostanze , così come del sostegno a persone con problematiche psichiche e sociali.

Si alterneranno sul palco principale del LAYNE STALEY ITALIAN TRIBUTE 2014 :   AT THE SPINE (Seattle): band particolarmente apprezzata dal critica e con ampio seguito nella scena indie rock di Seattle e del Northwest (www.atthespine.org );  POOTTANA PLAY FOR MONEY (Milano) : la tribute band italiana dei Nirvana che nel 2013 è stata ospite del Layne Staley Tribute a Seattle ( poottana.weebly.com ) ; ALICE IN THE BOX (Bologna) : in assoluto una delle migliori tribute band italiane degli Alice in Chains ( myspace.com/aliceintheboxband ).

Previsti anche intermezzi acustici di tre band attive nella scena alternative italiana: Polarbeers, Randy Watson e La Tensione di Violet. Al termine della manifestazione, rock dj – set con Edj.

The event is officially recognized by Nancy McCallum , Layne Staley ‘s mother and founder of the Layne Staley Memorial Fund at Therapeutic Health Services Seattle . All proceeds from the event are donated to the foundation , which deals with prevention and recovery from the use substances , as well as support for people with mental and social problems .

Also provided acoustic interludes three band active in the Italian alternative scene : Polarbeers , Randy Watson and The Power Violet. At the end of the event, Rock DJ – sets with Edj .
