Ho un brutto vizio: mi strappo le sopracciglia. Avete capito bene, me le strappo!Anziché rosicchiarmi le unghie, il mio tic è da sempre quello di non lasciarmi in pace le sopracciglia, soprattutto la destra. Avendole piuttosto folte non mi sono mai preoccupata per le consequenze di questo piccolo, sciocco gesto, ma nei momenti di maggiore stress, come questo, riesco a rovinarmele, è proprio il caso di dirlo, con le mie stesse mani. Le sopracciglia spelacchiate non sono un bel vedere, soprattutto se si potrebbe evitare.La mia estetista mi sgrida sempre, io prometto sempre di smettere, ma poi ricomincio. All'inizio del mese ho fatto la comparsa per un film che giravano qui in zona, e anche la truccatrice mi ha  sgridata. Ha trafficato un po' con pennelli e spazzoline, e poi mi ha fatta guardare allo specchio: "Non va meglio così?"
I have a bad habit: I pull out my eyebrows.
Instead of chewing my nails, when I'm nervous I pull out hair from my eyebrows. They've always been quite thick, but now they tend to be thinner than in the past. The effect is quite shabby, and the worst is that I could avoid, so why can't I stop it?My beautician always scolds me, I promise I'll stop it, but then I start again. At the beginning of this month I worked as a walker-on in a film and the make-up girl scolded me as well. Then she worked a bit with her brushes, and showed me the result: "Isn't this better?"

Già, va molto meglio. Allora il giorno dopo sono stata in profumeria a procurarmi qualcosa che non era mai stato nel mio beauty: una matita per le sopracciglia. Quella di Dior aveva una consistenza ideale, non troppo morbida, con uno scovolino all'altra estremità simile a quello del mascara, per pettinare e uniformare il risultato, ma per delle sopracciglia scure come le mie non avevano la giusta tonalità.Chanel ce l'aveva. E' più morbida, ma sempre meno morbida del kajal nero che uso tutti i giorni, e anziché uno scovolino ha un pennellino sbieco altrettanto utile.

So the following day I went and looked for an eyebrow pencil.Dior one was very nice, not too soft, with a brush at one side very similar to the mascara one, but they hadn't the proper shade for my eyebrow color. Chanel had. It's softer that Dior, but not as soft as the kajal I use everyday, and has a crosscut brush at the other side.




Certo, il costo non è irrisorio (22 € nelle profumerie LaGardenia), ma è qualcosa che si compra una volta e dura per anni. Se volete fare un esperimento potete sempre provare a usare una matita per gli occhi, per vedere l'effetto che fa (la mia mamma usa una matita waterproof troppo dura per l'interno dell'occhio), ma se le vostre sopracciglia hanno colori più chiari forse è meglio cercare direttamente tra i prodotti specifici.
Yes, it's not very cheap (22 € @ LaGardenia shops), but it's not something you buy very often.
If you want to try the effect on you, you can use an eyepencil (my mother uses a waterproof eyepencil which is too hard for her eyes), but if your brows are not as black as mine maybe you'd better go and look among the specific products.
Ah, nel frattempo, almeno quando indosso la matita, le sopracciglia le lascio in pace.Mi sembra già un buon risultato!
Ah! In the while, at least when I'm wearing this pencil, I leave my eyebrows in peace.
