In Val D'Aosta- Fénis!

If you do not love castles this post is not for you!Fénis, il castello per antonomasia, quello che ti immagini quando da piccino pensi a un castello: non sai come si chiama, non sai se esiste per davvero,  ma comunque, per qualche misterioso motivo, immagini le fattezze del castello di Fénis oppure... la Playmobil!Fénis, castle par excellence, what you imagine when you thought as a child in a castle: you do not know what it's called, you do not know if it really exists, but, for some reason, the image features of the Fénis castle or .. . the Playmobil!
Noi abbiamo visitato decine e decine di castelli ma questo è l'unico che ci fa questa impressione: siamo davanti ha un gigantesco giocattolo! Una strana sensazione!

Abbiamo salutato Saint Vincent, la nostra direzione è il capoluogo Aosta..Ma prima visitiamo il castello più famoso di questa regione autonoma, e sicuramente uno dei più famosi d'Italia. Prima di visitare gli interni,  facciamo una passeggiata nei dintorni, il castello sorge in una pianura, questa è una cosa strana per un castello, no?!
We greeted Saint Vincent, our direction is the chief town Aosta..Ma before we visit the most famous castle of this autonomous region, and certainly one of the most famous in Italy. Infatti questo castello era una sede amministrativa della famiglia Challant-Fénis.  La doppia cita muraria serviva per stupire la popolazione!Il Castello è stato salvato dal declino nell'800. Poi fu restaurato nel 1935, purtroppo fu stravolto il suo aspetto originario... Ora capite perchè sembra finto?

Purtroppo anche qui c'è quel terribile insetto che fa ammalare i castagni, però...non sono io, eh!

 Nel cortile del castello (agli interni è vietato fare foto, per vostra fortuna!) questo poster (un quadro di Gottuso) ci riporta alla realtà.. anzi.. Magari nella realtà ci fosse ancora qualche protesta e qualche drappo rosso..***In the courtyard of the castle (the interior is forbidden to take pictures, for your luck!) This poster (a frame of Gottuso) brings us back to reality .. indeed .. Maybe in reality there was still some protest and some red drape .. E poi finalmente Aosta! Questa sarà la nostra ultima casa e.. guardate che vista!Siamo sul tetto della città!***And then finally Aosta! This will be our last house .. and look at that view!We are on the roof of the city!
