Eccoci finalmente a scrivere, di fatto, il primo post del nuovo anno. Purtroppo il 2013 è iniziato con molta tachipirina e zero uscite, nonostante fossi a Champoluc. Speravo quindi di raccogliere materiale per il mese che arriva (tostissimo, l'ultimo prima della consegna della tesi, aiuto!)(siate clementi per le mie assenze dal blog, tornerò a regime, promesso). Ho idee e anche qualche foto per recensioni ecc, ma spesso mi manca il tempo materiale per editare il tutto. Comunque fatto sta che la settimana trascorsa per il blog è stata tutto tranne che proficua! Però, c'è un però! Il mio nuovo amico iPhone 5 mi ha mostrato molte cose, ho scoperto molte app (ho scoperto il senso della app, diciamo pure)(finchè non ce l'hai non lo sai) e anche un nuovo mondo di comunicazione e azione sul web. Insomma diciamo che ho 'studiato' un po' di cose che possono tornare utili. Innanzitutto ho scoperto Instagram e ve ne voglio parlare.

Finally I'm writing, actually, the first post of the new year. Unfortunately, 2013 has started with a lot of paracetamol and zero going out, even though I was in Champoluc. So I was hoping to gather material for the coming month (it will be so hard, it's the last one before the delivery of my thesis, help!) (Be lenient for my absence from the blog, I'll be up to speed, I promise). I have ideas and also some pictures for reviews etc, but I often do not have time to edit all material. However, the fact is that for the past week has been for the blog a tragedy! However, there is a but! My new friend iPhone 5 has shown me many things, I found many apps (I discovered the meaning of the app, let's say) (as long as you don't have them, you don't know their sense) and also a new world of communication and actions on the web. So let's say I 'studied' things that may be useful. First I discovered Instagram and I want to talk about.
E' difficile ormai non sapere di che cosa si tratta Instagram. E' una app (gratuita, per iPhone/Pad/Pod touch e da aprile anche per android) e di fatto un social network che, ispirato in qualche modo dal mondo della lomography e della fotografia istantanea, permette ai suoi utenti di condividere (su Instagram ma contemporaneamente anche su Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Tumblr, Flickr, e Posterous) fotografie quadrate possibilmente modificate grazie a filtri ed effetti offerti dall'applicazione. Il risultato ha fatto impazzire la rete. Già accennavo al 'problema' che pone e al dibattito in corso all'interno del mondo della fotografia, quando mia sorella è stata a Venezia e ho pubblicato le sue foto (ultimamente è uno dei post più letti su TTE).

Almost everybody knows what Instagram is. It's an app (free, for iPhone / Pad / Pod touch and, from last April, for Android too) and a social network that, in some way inspired by the world of lomography and instant photography, it allows its users to share (on Instagram but at the same time on Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Tumblr, Flickr, and Posterous) squared photographs maybe modified using filters and effects offered by the application. The result drives the network crazy. I had already alluded to the 'problem' that arises and to the ongoing debate within the world of photography, when my sister was in Venice and I posted her photos (lately is one of the most read post of TTE).

Ora che lo uso posso dire una cosa: la domanda "Instagram può o deve cambiare i canoni della fotografia?" è una domanda sbagliata, mal posta. Si tratta di un mezzo diverso e non sono la prima a dirlo di sicuro. Direi che il risultato che offre Instagram è più vicino alla grafica che alla fotografia. Questo lo rende divertente, ma molto lontano dal mondo fatto di reflex, obiettivi, filtri, cavalletti ecc ecc. E' una fotografia parallela che può scovare talenti che non si sarebbero mai trovati con la reflex o con una compatta. Insomma poco scompiglio di fronte all'effetto "finto" delle piccole foto quadrate della piccola macchina marrone con arcobaleno che un po' omaggia la Polaroid. Perchè ci piace così, vale più il gioco dei colori dato in postproduzione che il resto, vale più l'atmosfera che si dà dopo rispetto a quella che avrebbe avuto la foto in originale.

Now I use it and I can say one thing: the question "can Instagram or should it change the rules of the photography?" is a wrong question, it's misplaced. Instagram and the iPhone is a different tool and I'm not the first to say it, for sure. I'd say the result that offers Instagram is closer to the graphics image than the photography. This makes it fun, but very far from the world of SLR cameras, lenses, filters, tripods, etc. etc.. It 's a parallel photography that can find talents that would never have been just with cameras or compacts. So quite a stir in front effect of "fakeness" that the small squared pictures presents. Because we like it in this way, here it deserve more the play of colors given in post-production than the rest, it's more important the atmosphere that you give after the shot than the one would have had the photo in the original.

- Here is a so cute Dahu! Dahu is a legendary animal similar to a ibex, with two legs (the right ones or the left ones) shorter than the other to allow him to climb the steepest peaks. This impose him to mate just with Dahu-girls with the opposite legs, because the others will always be parallel to him and they will never meet face to face -

- Questo è un Dahu! Il Dahu è un animale leggendario simile a uno stambecco con due gambe (o le due sinistre o
 le due destre) più corte delle altre così da poter scalare i pendii più ridipi. Questa caratteristica perà gli impone di accoppiarsi solo con  Dahu-femmine con le gambe più corte opposte alle sue, infatti gli altri gli saranno sempre paralleli e non si incontreranno mai faccia a faccia -

Provare per credere. Io in virtù di questo ho deciso di iniziare una rubrica domenicale (non certo originale) in cui pubblicherò idealmente 7 (poi dipenderà dalle volte, lo sapete che le promesse le mantengo ma a modo mio) fotografie, scattate con l'Iphone e pubblicate sul mio profilo Instagram, che in qualche modo vi possano raccontare la mia settimana sempre fatta di valigie, sapori, colori, scatti.
Seeing is believing. Because of this I decided to start a Sunday column (certainly not original) in which I'll always publish ideally 7 (it will depend on the times, you know that I keep promises but in my way) photographs taken with the Iphone and published on my Instagram Profile, that somehow could tell my week always made ​​of suitcases, flavors, colors, shots.
