June is Elena Vaninetti

When I was a child I was convinced that at my current age I would have had a well defined role, like a profession, an unbreakable bond, a solid independence. Da piccola pensavo con convinzione che alla mia età avrei avuto un ruolo ben definito, come, una professione, un legame indissolubile, un' autonomia solida.Now that I observe my life I do not have any of all that, but it doesn't matter, stability is not my prerogative.

Ora che osservo la mia vita non ho nulla di tutto ciò, ma non importa, la stabilità non è più una mia prerogativa.

I started taking photos as a child, and for a brief period I told everyone that when I grew up I would be a photographer, the month after that I would be a vet, after that  a lawyer.
Ho cominciato a fotografare da bambina, e per un breve periodo dicevo a tutti che da grande avrei fatto la fotografa, il mese successivo invece che avrei fatto la veterinaria, quello dopo ancora l' avvocato.
I have been vegetarian, punk, engaged, hypochondriac, homeless, bartender, student, traveller, single, a dentist's assistant, observer, commuter, teenager, painter. I have been many things, and I will be many others.
 Sono stata vegetariana, punk, fidanzata, ipocondriaca, senzatetto, barista, studente, viaggiatrice, sfidanzata, assistente dentista, osservatrice, pendolare, adolescente, pittrice. Sono stata tante cose e tante ancora ne sarò.
In the mean time, I have kept on photographing, even though there have been small and great pauses I have never completely stopped, as with cigarettes.Nel frattempo ho continuato a scattare, anche se con grandi e piccole pause non ho mai del tutto smesso, come con le sigarette.
